Collingwood dont have Cox or Sandi???

Butcher worth 2 first rounders on top 5 one top 10

At the time of the trade it was agreed by most he was the second best going around, Cox had a terrible year in 2009, im not saying he's the second best anymore, he would struggle to make the 10 now.

Lol at the above trade from hawks supporter. Delarious is perfect user name.

Do you want two spuds and pick 24 in a crap draft for your kid your drafted in the top ten in a strong draft and has kicked 10 goals in his 2nd and 3rd game?

He will stay at Port they are all resigning. Would be perfect for the Dees though.

I said pick 10 to 16 in 2013, i stand by that, he'll be 28, we paid picks 14 and 44 for the second best ruckman in the comp who also happened to be 28.

Bringg up all the trades you like over the last few years, Burgoyne, Lovet, Williams etc etc, fact is, all those clubs would regret those trades now i think it's safe to say.
The difference being that Collingwood get teams over a barrel and screw them over. Jolly, Ball and Tarrant (yes I'm still bitter) were all worth more than what the trading team got.

I hope Port keeps Butcher. We need a competitive league and Butcher looks very good. I'd love him at Freo.

You goose.

Anyways, good luck getting back to Victoria, the only way hypotheticly he would go is you were forced to grab pick 5/7 from GWS by trading a top 7 player at your club who is under 25, ontrading it to GWS with your first round pick from 10-20 to port

Port have no qualms about dumping him off to GWS and letting one of the 17 year olds slide to them at pick 4 when GWS pick up at one two or three

Would you take two hawthorn players outside our best 22 and our first round pick at 20+ for him?

The only goose is you.

We may as well offer you M Westhoff (the shit one) and maybe a Danny Meyer and our 2nd rounder for Buddy.

That's pretty much what your saying.

Doubt it, they paid pick 8 for him and have put 2 years of development into him, so basicly the club that gets him will have a ready made semi KF for the next year or 2 and then a geniune KF after that, worth way more than pick 8 now.
Are you serious? Gibbs' value has decreased yet Butcher who has played 3 games in 2 years value has increased because port have put 2 years of development into him.

You are right Gibbs isnt Dale Thomas he has shown far more than Dale Thomas did to a similar stage of his career.

Discussion about Gibbs is irrelevant Carlton will never trade him he is too valuable.

Hopefully this discussion will all mean nothing.

But geez, if his stocks arent about as close to high as you can get, I would be amazed.

Commands front spot, clunks pack marks and chases like a 6-6 greyhound.

You forgot the fact he has kicked 12.2 in his first 3 games.

20 year old KPFs with these characteristics are basically priceless. A neat HBF like Gibbs might be the darling of Carlton fans, but Butcher is worth far more.

Port would be getting ripped off swapping Butcher for Gibbs. Butcher is worth much more than Gibbs.

Who said we would make that offer?

WC rated Sheppard higher than Butcher.

Either your recruiters are average or Butcher has some flaws are yet to surface.

Lol this has nothing to do with Sheppard or West Coast it is between Butcher and Gibbs. Gibbs is a soft player with good skills and Butcher is a key forward who can take contested marks in his first couple of games in a crap team. He is worth a lot more than Gibbs on the market that is fact.

Do you think he is worth Judd?

West Coast should offer Judd for him? Oh hang on he plays for Carlton now.

Considering their age it would probably be a fair swap. Which key forwards have done what Butcher has in his first couple of games?

Justin Westhoff.

Yep just the person I was thinking of. Westhoff scored what, 12 goals in his first 4 games in 2007 with bags of 3, 4, 2, 3. Thats a pretty good start to a career, but look at him now (hardly a gun KPF).

I am not taking anything away from Butcher, but saying a trade of Judd if about right or that Gibbs is paying unders for Butcher is just rediculous.

Question. Is Butcher worth more than Daisy Thomas x2 years ago (eg in the 2009 season)??? That would be when Thomas was the same age as Gibbs, playing on a wing/HFF. He was seen as soft by many a football supporter, and his major stats were substantially down on Gibbs' stats this year.

Now Thomas is seen as a gun midfielder, who will most likely get AA on a wing this year, showing how much even midfielders can improve over just x2 years.

Even Murphy last year was seen as a disappointment, unlikely to reach the heights he was expected to reach when recruited in 2005. Now he is one of the best midfielders in the comp, second (or is it now 3rd) fav for the brownlow behind Judd.

People neglect the fact that Gibbs is ONLY 22 yr's old, yet has played 100 games, and is well on his way to playing 250-300 over his career. They call him soft because of a clip from when he was an 18 yr old, yet ignore the fact that he has back into many a pack this year in defence. No, not as much as a Duigan, but he goes when it is his turn now.

This is way too factual and analytic for BF.

I expect The Distributers brain is having a Dalek-style malfunction.

Justin Westhoff is not a KPP he is just tall. Butcher is a KPP.

Thomas was never soft and Murphy was always going to be one of the best players in the comp - they don't work out trade value based on what some guy on the street said.

Gibbs is an ok player but wouldn't get you Butcher.
