I’ve decided to make a thread on this.

I don’t know if anyone saw the David Teague interview on CFC TV a few weeks ago, but on the whiteboard behind him there were names-

Chris Judd (followed by a tick)
Daniel Kerr (followed by a question mark)
Jonathan Brown (followed by a question mark)
Hamish McIntosh (with a line through it, followed by a cross because he had recently re-signed with north Melbourne)

maybe it was a joke, but maybe it wasn't.

There has been 2 threads on this already, it was a joke from the guys!

We will not get J. Brown and we will not get D. Kerr, Kerr is contracted till end of 2009.

So time to move on and concentrate on our own list.

I know there is room in the cap, but wouldn't you rather someone like Pavlich rather than Brown?

Much rather Pavlich. Brown better at his best, but lacks Pavlich's consistency. When was the last time Pav has missed a game? When was the last time Brown went through a season without missing a game?

Thanks for posting that. Makes you wonder if Carlton are going to make a play for another big name player this off-season, as has been been reported in the press in recent weeks.

And Brown has not stated that Carlton is his preferred choice of club!

Thanks for posting that. Makes you wonder if Carlton are going to make a play for another big name player this off-season, as has been been reported in the press in recent weeks.

I hope we make a huge run at Pav, he has better athleticism than Brown and I believe if he had good players around him, he would show that he could/is better than Brown. He can do anything and play anywhere. Always steps up when the team needs him. I think he is a wasted talent down at Freo!

I'd like either Brown or Pavlich but theres something about a Fev/Brown combo that i prefer.. But who am i to complain if we get Pavlich?

The thing i dont get is how can we resign Fev, Murphy and Waite and still have enough under the cap for one of them? How much cap space would we have exactly?

Last i checked this wasnt UNICEF. We should go after any top player that we can grab, if thats Brown, Pavlich so be it.

we easily have enough for jonathan brown.
i am not certain on this but i think we have around $2 million left in our cap, but it's probably different with murphy, waite and fev re-signing.
fev and stevens will be on the veterans list soon though, so there will be way more room in the cap when that happens.
