Take a look, I found it a very interesting read and believe we have found someone who will become an absolute superstar beyond belief.

HE'S A BLOODY GEM!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I've got big hopes for him too. If we are going to have any impact on the competition in the next year or two it is most likely to come from Jones, Dunn & the Blood Nut. My greatest concern with Jones was though that too often he burnt the ball. He had lots of olde and more experienced team-mates doing this also. I love his grunt. I reckon he's the real deal.:D

Definatlely believe he is the most important player in our side in the years to come ,in short spaces his ability to evade tackles are extrodinary .The kid is not even 20 just imagine how good he is going to be in the next 2 to 3 years.

You betcha. Get a bit more accuracy in his kicks and WOW!

agree...........kicking really needs to improve before we can call him a gun, but he has the potential.
In neita'z 300th against collingwood everyone pumped his games up (commentators and newspapers the next day) but if you really looked at it closely he cost us more than we gained from him. Think he had something like 23 touches and had 11 clangers in that!! (7 free's against didnt help) I usually dont worry bout frees to much because some of them are garbage, but that night i remember every free chunk gave away was blatently obvious. I admire his hardness and ball winning ability much the same as junior. Just needs to add the delivery to his game as brock does now and then we would have a gun.

Nathan Jones has the football world at his feet. It's all up to him. If he wants it enough he will become a great player. Not a good player but a great player.
I look forward to watching him in the Red and Blue for years to come.
Go Dees

NEWTONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

Who here liked the "defy gravity" call by Clinton Grybas when he took THAT mark? I spose this should be in the appreciation thread, but I've always been meaning to seek opinions on it. It was almost as if Grybas didn't think he could defy gravity or it was a mere illusion. But it wasn't and Juice is a superstar.

Jones has good skill showed this plenty of times towards the end of 06, he played a different game style was not as in and under as he was this year.

His skills will improve as he matures and as the team improves and there is less pressure around which will allow him to have more time to settle and deliver

I think the stats you got are for the QB game. Jones definitely had a tonne of frees against him when we played Collingwood for the second time.

It's not about defying gravity.. it's got more to do with newtons law of gravity or something.. that famous scientist.

Yes I think he looks the goods! With limited injury he can be one of the competitions elite on-ballers.

Now sorry to change the subject but instead of starting a new thread I was wondering if anyone would know when the 2008 Fixture will be released?

Soon I think. There was an article in the Age about how Carlton will vs West Coast in Perth in a Friday Night blockbuster in round 7 next year for Chris Judd's return.
