The Port ferals a fapping themselves senseless now they're convinced that Josh is heading back to Alberton. Thoughts on this move? What should we ask for him if he wants out?

I don't believe all that crap. Afterall, why would Port want him in the first place? They have plenty of taggers.

With the advancement of Crowls and Carr's age/likely salary - I would think a trade would be very good for us.

As much as we can get but it is relaly a no lose position for us ...Hell I'd even pull the trigger on a 3rd round for 2nd round deal.

If it is a player someone like Pearce is pacey ...I wonder if they would deal him? No - OK just foucs on the upgrade (first person to to say Toby or Damon gets punched)

It was in the Advertiser here today that its a deadset certainty. Doesn't bother me, was a waste of a trade in the end. Could have been good given his age, but yeah.

Yeah good call. All he wanted was to play footy with his brother, not help give us any success.

Hopefully another lesson to the club not to trade for players but for picks.

It was in the Advertiser so it must be true! Are you sure Pavlich and Schammer aren't joining him?

Surjan? Krakouer? Cassissi would be nice

If they couldn't tempt Pavlich back (Who is originally from Adelaide and has strong family ties), how the hell will they be able to tempt Carr back?

Ridiculous.

Based on what did they say - or was it "I feel it in me waters" type thing?

all of it is on "he siad, she said" type information, michaelangelo has been harping on about if for months, chad cornes talked about how carr'y contacted him during your match against melbourne and said how much he was hating playing at freo and wanted to come back, so there is plenty of indicators pointing to coming back, salary issues, brother retires, picks being in needs with two new teams coming in, it all points to a carr trade.

Well lets see what they will give us for Carr and Schammer... for the first time we could actually take multiple positive steps in the off season

I have no problems with trading Josh Carr and Schammer to Port. Josh isnt the type of midfielder freo require. If we could somehow snare Casissi, Pearce or Salopek I would do it. Although we are trading with Mark Williams so I wouldnt expect too much in the deal.

we wont offer more than a late 2nd rounder, or early third for carr, u have to remember wat we got for him in 2004 when he was in his prime, and playing like a megastar, three picks, 11, 27 and 45, he is now no where near his 2004 standard, he is well below elite and u could consider yourself lucky to get a early second round pick.
and we dont want schammer you can keep him, he is poo.

We know he is Poo but hopefully somehow your coaches think Schammer is good lol. We can only hope but somehow I think they will agree with you lol.

Third round plus Surjan?

third round and surj, for carr and a later third rounder, surj can be replaced

haha cassisi, u wont get cass, not in your wildest dreams, the bloke is pivtitol to our team his work in the middle in second to only kane, you can keep dreaming.

Yeah and Cassisi would be a bit old for what we want. He'll be 26 next year, where as surjan will be 23.

But still I'd probably want an extra pick from the trade rather than swap players plus an upgrade of picks.

Josh Carr + 2nd Round for Jacob Surjan + Damon White + 2nd Round

Don't want him (I'm guessing you guys don't either:p) or need him. We have Murphy and Campbell who can't get a game and would be equal or better than white IMO.

I imagine Dodd wouldn't be to fond of him either :D

I reckon it's really important that Josh Carr stays. Not because he's a superstar but because of the message it sends. How bad does it look if a WA born vice-captain takes off interstate? It makes the club look really unprofessional to those outside the club and will affect the mindset internally.

We need Josh Carr much more than a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick.

Compare his tackles, possessions and goals for 2004 to 2007.
