It's interesting that everyone always talks up Daicos as a good kick, but going by the stats he's actually pretty bad by foot.

Over his career goes at 50% in front of goal, and his kicking efficiency is at 56%, which puts him equal 457th in the AFL for midfielders only. He's well behind many other players who are considered "ball butchers". Is Daicos being good by foot just a myth?

Across the first seven rounds he never dropped below the 20 disposal mark. He had a season high 28 against West Coast.

His last 2 games have resulted in a 9 and 14 disposal count and this reduced output seems indicative of the team in general in recent weeks.

You have to at least wonder if illness throughout the squad has been more pronounced that we've let on.

He butchers the ball but can also hit some damaging passes. Sidebottom like.

He also spent more time up forward last two weeks.

so whats your point?, should we get rid of him or just play him in the VFL for the rest of the year? You watch games, do you see a butcher with ball everytime he gets it? What's your point? I bet if he was up for trade half the teams would be into him

Could also be more time put into him from opposition teams, he is still developing his game.

I’d say you’re better off finding out what his kick rating is and stop putting so much weight on a flawed stat like KE%.

He averages 4.1 turnovers per game, which is very high for someone only averaging 19 touches. Where do you find "kick rating"?
It’s a champion data paid stat I believe. But it takes in to account things like kick difficulty etc to give you a better idea of the players kicking ability. There are plenty of shite kicks in the AFL who just bomb it 50m to a contest down the line and get an effective disposal, even if it results in a turnover. It’s not a good stat.

Yes, back to his early season form, extremely important player now for the club, so creative!

Would he be on a list if he had a different surname? I’m not certain.
Yes. He’s AFL quality, even if not elite. He would definitely have a spot on a list somewhere regardless of his name.

Probably a reasonable question in his first few years, but he's turned into an alright player. He's kicking a lot more goals this season than he has before, as well as career highs in disposals, marks, clearances and hitouts (lol).
