Judging by the blanket advertising, heavy seat polling and attempts at a smear campaign against Monique Ryan I’d say Josh believes he’s a genuine chance at losing his seat.

He wasn’t acting like this last time when he was running against Burnside and Yates. There’s a definite swing in the air.

The Teal candidates are perfect. Silver spooners cannot bring themselves to vote for Labor - but vote for an an intelligent independent is a different beast - and you can do it guilt free.

I agree the LNP is evil and must be vanquished, but some of these numbers seem to omit mentioning the whole pandemic:

Obviously Kooyong being under threat means resources are directed there at the expense of other seats.
This is where considering independents keeps the major parties honest (as well as denying them your ~$3 in election funding per vote).

Exactly. One of my friends lives in one of the most silver spoon electorates in WA. She says Scomo is so on the nose the diehards are jumping ship, to an independent, labor is a bridge too far, just as you said.

I was speaking to someone quite a while ago and they were completely at a loss, it was pretty funny actually.

Paraphrasing, "That man is horrible, but I cannot vote Labor. I don't know what I am going to do"

Teal it is then.

I think that the big advantage of the Teals is they are a very good chance of holding these Liberal seats for a long time. If the Liberal party loses all their blue ribbon seats than they are literally directly competing with the One Nation Party in deliverance country - might even merge with them lol

Opine is right. Where do you think all the people who are getting the LNP tax cuts for high income earners live? Those tax cuts aren't temporary like the ones for low income earners either.

The LNP assume low income voters are stupid. They rely on it.

The rich know where their bread is buttered. But tolerating rampant incompetence is very, very hard for them. Many will take the tax cut and vote teal.
