Really it's roughly pick 3 for Kelly , pick 21 for Hopper and an upgrade of picks from maybe 18 to 8 in a ridiculously strong draft in 2018 . Both boys are out of contract . It's something we should be pushing for .

Why would they trade hopper for the equivalent of 21 and pick upgrade when they took him at pick 7 and absolutely rate him?

Not saying they would & in all reality most likely won't ...but we need to push them the AFL has given them everything they want but that doesn't mean we just relent at their whim ... their cap is bursting and we have boatloads . Squeeze them .

I'd trade pick 5 for Kelly. . It's just currency. He was picked at 2 and become more highly rated since. North rates him extremely highly given the offer.

I'd expect GWS to want more. Lions paid pick 5 (De Goey) and Crisp for Beams, who was desperate to get transferred.

Lions also gave up a 2nd (25?) which was on traded for Greenbucks.

They gave up a lots for Beams but he was a gun at the time. Luckily Buckley and co stuffed the picks up.
