He'll be fine.. Time to shake this silly tag now I think. He's mates with Ed Langdon from their Sandringham days together and they've been in contact since they played together so he's in good company.

I noticed in this mornings freo snap chats that Tucker was wearing 41... based on the fact all the senior guys were wearing their correct number and the fact another half back flanker has recently vacated that number i think its fairly possible he'll be keeping it.
Going by last year's timeframe it'll be next Friday.A lot of teams have made announcements now, assume we won't be too far away.
Went to Hughes.Jumper numbers for new recruits.
4 Bennell
18 Tucker
24 Balic
40 Collins
41 Yarran
42 Uebergang
43 Nyhuis
Interesting that Crowley's number is vacant. #15 must be promised to McCarthy or Hogan. Lol.

This has now come to pass. Does anybody have a Footy Record from 2002 or 2003 lying around that could confirm who wore the #44 jumper in those years (if at all)?Interestingly, 2016 could be the first year that jumper #44 hasn't been allocated since 2003:
Jumper #44
2015 - Jacob Ballard (1 game)
2014 - Jacob Ballard (0 games)
2013 - Jesse Crichton (1 game)
2012 - Jesse Crichton (4 games)
2011 - Jesse Crichton (7 games)
2010 - Jesse Crichton (6 games)
2009 - Brent Connelly (0 games)
2008 - Brent Connelly (0 games)
2007 - Darren Rumble (0 games)
2006 - Michael Warren (1 game)
2005 - Michael Warren (0 games)
2004 - Michael Warren (0 games)
2003 -
2002 -
2001 - Daniel Bandy (17 games)
2000 - Daniel Bandy (22 games)
1999 - Daniel Bandy (20 games)
1998 - Daniel Bandy (12 games)
1997 - Daniel Bandy (18 games)
1996 - Daniel Bandy (13 games)
1995 - Daniel Bandy (3 games)
Note: for the life of me, I couldn't find a list of the players in the 2002 and 2003 squads - so it is possible that somebody who didn't play a game wore it for those two years. Josh Head is a possibility: he was #42 during his second stint in 2008-2009, but he had a different number in 2002-2003 since Robbie Haddrill was #42 back then.

Great find!http://cedric.slv.vic.gov.au/R/85RQ...32?func=collections-result&collection_id=2986
Looks like it was vacant in 2002. Josh Head had #41. And Sandilands had #13 with Eastaugh in #31.
The number 13 wouldn't be the worst number for a youngster to start in at Freo.Great find!
Looks like we only had 38 players + 5 rookies back then.
Interesting to see McPharlin in the #15, and Sandilands in the #13 though!!
