strange you aren't calling for retirement for a horse once it has been beaten once!

Don't worry - one more and I'll be getting the PAL labels out

Possibly but a pretty pointless debate - he got out at the same time as Spanish Mission and couldn't get past him the entire straight - and he is not a plodder - he still has a turn of foot at the end of these trips on most occasions - it was a poor ride but the horse was well below its best and wasn't winning anyway - He had more than enough chance to run into second in the straight but couldn't - momentum is a poor excuse - he just went no good.

Not really when the debate is the fact it was a god awful ride. Frankie just got lucky that he didn't explode along the rails when he could finally wind him up. To have him back inside of runners when your main rival will be racing on the lead was a poor decision

No one is saying it was not a bad ride - but it had no impact on the result - the horse also went well below his best

Royal Ascot Day 4

COMMONWEALTH CUP - Looks a pretty weak renewal to me with on real standouts. So weak in fact that I could legitimately see French form being relevant via SUESA who has won both starts this year stylishly. Any further rain tonight will be a plus for her. Should it stay firm the main danger looks to be last year's Queen Mary winner CAMPANELLE although like most of the Ward squibs things might get desperate in the closing stages over 6f. MEASURE OF MAGIC could be underrated here coming off two nice wins in Ireland and was placed in G2 level in England as a 2yo. Open race.

CORONOATION STAKES - A bit like Poetic Flame on Day 1, MOTHER EARTH may look a silly price at $5+ in hindsight as she also already has a Guineas win and a second to her name this season on both firm and bottomless tracks.

Other Races:
ALBANY - Prettiest
KING EDWARD VII - The Mediterranean
SANDRINGHAM - Friendly/Rising Star/Riknaah
DUKE OF EDINBURGH - Zabeel Champion/Aadeey
PALACE OF HOLYROODHOUSE - Boomshalaa

He had every chance to run a place last night and does so easily on his best form - wasn't good enough

Lol no he didn't have every chance. If you think that ride nets him the same result as one where he gets out wide and given his chance to run on then you can't even call it a bad ride.

Whatever though not worth going over anymore
