Did nothing early in its trial and was miles off them before getting going and winning it. Was doing the rounds on socials and I guess people just followed the money. Had just as little idea early on on race day either
That is so suspect.
The reason for the plunge was it won a trial like chautauqua and it went all over twitter in the 48 hours leading to the race.
Then that happens ...
Horse who has no idea in a trial has no idea on race day either. Hardly shocking
Why wasn't the jockey trying to urge it to jump?
Do you think horses will all just stay in the barriers if the jockey doesn't shake the reins or something?
Nope, I don't think that.
I just think it was bizarre footage for a horse that was backed in from 150-1 to favourite. The horse just stands there when the barriers open and the jockey does nothing.
If the horse doesn't want to jump there isn't much the jockey can do about it.
Pretty poetic result for mine given why everyone was backing the horse
Little too much cobalt sent the horse around the bends. Couldn't jump and veered off like a 12 pack had be sunk.
