One thing that WCE did pretty good was to connect other sportsmen with the club. Not just on the marketing side but as a support to players [adressing players, motivation...etc]. Justin Langer, Damien Oliver, Danny Green are some of them that are very prominent in promoting WCE. That promotional add of couple of years ago with Langer and Oliver was one of the best I ever saw.

Are there any Freo supporters among other sports personalities and could the club do something about it? Luc Longley is the only one that comes to mind atm, I think he's a ticket holder No.1. I heard that Shaun Marsh is a Freo supporter, is that true?

It must be that "encyclopedia" kid from Sam's Street-Talk

rove?

nah, you dont want to drive potential members away.

He's not a sports personality, he's funny though. Can be used to cheer em up after a loss [he'd working overtime this season if that was the case]

Still trying to get my head around the thinking of that kid being the #1 ticket holder. Whoever made that decision, obviously never watched the "I didn't do it, kid" episode of The Simpsons.
The sports bloke on Sunrise is a Freo supporter and so is the x CEO of the AFL. For Christ sakes our Premier is a die-hard. Yet we have some kid, who was cute once but now annoying. Good one PR division at Freo.

Here is a clue.

Can't think of a better bloke for the job. :thumbsu:

He's a Freo fan?

Hoggy is a good bloke and he's very popular in WA...not bad.

I think Chops is making a subtle joke ... Norman was known as a perennial choker in the big golf tournaments ... or are you being serious Chops? :o

Got it in one. Or should that be, "Got it with a hole in one"?

Phew. I thought you were serious for a moment, and I would be calling him to be driven out of town big time. That's too much bad karma for this club at the moment.

BTW, :D on the suggestion.

What exactly does the Kid provide us from a marketing perspective? I think some ____wit in the admin has gone "this will be a good zany no.1 ticket holder" Ridicilous decision.

I have actually seen Hoggy around the boundary line at the games - so i think he is actually involved in some way at the club.

George Hogg's a friggin' champ!! Ryan Campbell's a big Freo supporter. Last time he took holidays from Nova they had Sandi reading the sport in the morning which was entertaining.
