Can someone remind me again why Dom Tyson dosnt play for Richmond ?

why would any decent player come to play for this rabble of a club.? AT made the right choice atleast he will get the recognition & success he deserves at the pies. I feel sorry for Lids, Jack & Rance. Hope they leave this club and be successful somewhere else.........Rance's knock to watts was pure frustration and just shows he is not happy with the efforts of players around him...!

If this season continues like it has, I'd like to see Benny get asked a few direct questions. Maybe FC by Caro a few feet away. On the Couch whatever. But a few direct questions along the lines of:

  1. In hindsight, was extending Damien Hardwick’s contract to the end of 2018 a mistake ?

  2. Why did you feel it necessary to extend his contract as opposed to seeing how 2016 would pan out first ? Was that a recommendation to the Board by you, or Dan Richardson, or both ?

  3. Is Damien’s contract extension performance based on 2016 ?

  4. There’s lots of questions around the success or otherwise of your recruitment strategy, list development, contracts issued etc. You’ve got some names that have been in that Football Department for some time. For example, your National Recruitment Manager has been there 11 years. Is it time for some change in the Football Department ?

  5. Why can’t Richmond recruit an A grader from another club ? Two years in a row its cast a wide net and cant land a big fish despite having a reasonable story to sell i.e. big club, profitable and space in the cap. Other clubs with perhaps a lesser story to sell have landed players. Why can’t the club land anyone from the multiple attempts its made to numerous players ?

What’s going wrong with the sales process Brendan and who has been involved in it ?

  6. Is the Richmond playing list still a fragile one and has it gone as far as it can ? The players still seem to fall away under pressure. Are they aggressive enough ? Do they really want it enough ? Is it a leadership thing ? Why does it continue to fall away and not progress and do you need to genuinely do a re-build again ?

needs a defensive side to his game.
I take it that you are being sarcastic, right? If so, I agree. While we are worrying about how players' defensive attributes, other teams are focusing on ourscoring their opposition. We have conceded 120+ the last three weeks

I am not saying it is not important, but a big thing we lack is an offensive mindset. The players do not put as much scoreboard pressure on the opposition like the opposition does to us

mate i was taking the piss bc that's the dribble you constantly hear coming out of the mouths of the mad professor and his assistants

And Taylor Hunt ... Yarran gave up two years ago but we have such a great record In turning around troubled footballers
welcum back sweet prince

It's far from over yet. Beat melbourne anyway anyhow and reset for the year with Maric back.

Yer the Melbourne game didn't quite work out :( effort was there but we just aren't good enough unfortunatley . I had high hopes for 2016 minimum thought we would play finals and win one but that's gone now we are cooked .

We are a recruiting joke. Never look to pick up a player we actually need, just a bunch of misfits that are available. Half these players we have got kicked out of their old club, the other half we grabbed because Richardson and co saw them on a footy card. They were never any good to start with, how the hell are we going to turn them around??? We're the AFL equivalent of the Cleveland Indians in that movie Major League. Just a bunch of nomads who have been wandering around the wilderness who have been lumped together. Except being a Hollywood movie, they actually come good, and every player they got had a role to fill.

We don't ever draft big guys, and if we do it's off to the reserves to drain any of their junior talent out of them, leaving them to spend the rest of their career "dominating" local leagues. At the same time as over rating all our "D Grade" players and taking them off the trade table.

Surely none of us were fooled the way we were rag-dolled around those finals the last 3 years? We were only in those finals series by default. 2 teams were full of fetuses, 5 were bottoming out and 1 was full of drug cheats and bikies. Now there's been some development in those teams, we're back to being a long way behind.

With us being shit, at least the world feels back on its proper axis again.

I'm telling you mate, write a letter. I will be.

These are all excellent points.

Answer to question 5 is easy. We offer peanuts and don't budge. Why would anyone opt for somewhere else ? Because the money is so much more dude. Don't let anyone tell you anything else. Money talks the end. We talk big and walk small. The big name recruits we have "snared" in the trade come cheap as chips because they are damaged goods from the NQR store

Ty ain't the prob cogs , he s averaging 2goals a game this year , with the defence conceding 20 goals a game and half the mids barely cracking 12 possies , me thinks the nub of the prob is up the ground right now
