  • Firstly, just heard the Nick Stevens add about New Look Carlton and all we are waiting for is you. Zzzzz puts me to sleep :) hahaha. Needs a bit of ooomph in his voice there. :p :D But gee it's so good to hear the song in the background :)
  • Carlton Membership Day today - plugging the club's membership today.
  • Malouf is confident Pagan and Mitchell can work well together this year. Malouf - "No need for them to talk right now coz they're in different roles."
Kade Simpson chat:-
The future is very good, he's seen as one of their young guns.

KB sees him as one of the success stories, recruited by Shane o"Sullivan - picked up in teh 40s and has gone on to be a good player. Kade said he and Fisher (pic 72) played U18 together. Hasn't been too bad since going to carlton.

Not really much pressure put on him. Told that they were happy he was still around in the 40s, Kade was thrilled to go to Carlton because it's such a proud club.

2006 huge improvement. The change from 2005 to 2006, Dennis gave him a bigger role thru the midfield, and told him to back himself in and take the game on, if he made a mistake it didn't matter. Dennis gave him a lot of confidence. Left foot seems to get them everytime.

Tour of Ireland, was a big honour to play for country. Good experience to see how other players prepare and go about their ways.

Good group of young kids - do the carlton fans realise there is a strong core of young players who want to do something? Kade hopes so :) The future is lookin pretty bright, draft picks are maturing quickly. Looking forward to getting out and showing people what they can do.

Focus - been trying to bulk up for the past 5 years. All the new guys are in a weights group together. Gibbs has put on 4 or 5 Kgs, Murphy has put on 5 kgs this preseason. Kade has put on about 2 kilos, but about 12 kilos since he's been at the club.

Team watched a few highlights of the Essendon vs Aboriginal game yesterday.

Real focus is round 1.

Thanks AWG. Managed to catch what Malouf said, but not Simmo.

The boys are bulking up and priming themselves for a big season.

All positive.

:)

I really think that Saturday could be the start of something quite big for the Football Club. As Parrot would say, lots to look forward to.

I'm already starting to sing the song! :D

How do you think we will approach the game, player wise. More youth, or more experience?

At the end of the day, I think Pagan will try to get the best possible 18 out on the park at once. We should try to do as best as we can, and a win over the Bombers would give us another shot in the arm after what has been a pretty positive few weeks at PP.

So you don't think that we will rest anyone to prime them for the season proper?

No idea to be honest, the squad should be in Friday's paper.

Would be good to get a win on Sat night, would provide some excitement for Family day on Sunday & more members.

I'm hoping we get up to 35,000 members this year

Wow. Good chat with jarrad waite on Sen right now.

I'd write about it, but i'd get in trouble by a lot of people.

He's a very mature guy and speaks very well, atm they're speaking about the death of his father and how it affected.

So mature.:thumbsu:

LOL - once again you go out of your way, to bring up an issue already discussed and killed off in another thread.

I just finished my home theatre room. 120inch screen with huge sound......... and the wife goes out. HOME ALL ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it SMOO! :)

I'll be downstairs in the bar room down there, watching it, turned up loud, while my family will be upstairs in one of the rooms watching it. Normally happens, my brother in the lounge room, mum and dad in the kitchen room, me downstairs or in teh spare room :)

We get too stressed and yell too much at the tv, so it's best we're in different rooms :)

My wife refuses to watch football with me. let alone go to the game. Now with the big screen, she will hate it even more.
