Who would you pick for the senior team?

I'd go for Campbell. He seems to have more flare than Murphy.

Also, against the Dees, Pickett was afraid to tackle him. :)

Kiwi was very impressive today. Has a real energy and enthusiasm about his play. Not to mention his aggression at the contest which adds a dimension to our forward line that Murphy doesn't provide. Murphy has a lot to offer though, hopefully we'll end up finding a place for both of them in the team.

Hopefully he gets more than just the one game in a row

I have no idea which i prefer to be honest. Probably Campbell at the moment because of his physicality and emotion.
Murph is more your everyday FF that leads well and kicks well, doesnt take a lot of contested makrs.
Now we have Tazza i think Campbell probably fits our structure better. If Campbell had a bad one today you can guarantee they would have swapped spots next week.

Taz seems to enjoy roaming around so I guess it could be possible to play Spud and Kiwi close to goal with Taz pushing up the ground to link up play and Pav lurking somewhere in between.

must've missed the second quarter.

I'd still take Murphy. He's a bit more flexible atm.

Des certainly looks the goods up in the forward line, but I think his value to the team delivering the ball into the forward 50 is too important to have him spending too much time in the pocket.

Forward pocket is one of the toughest roles to play, and I'd hate to see Des stuck down there and have his confidence dented if he has a bad week or two. I think we just have to rotate it through until either Collard or Farmer are ready to play.

Headland gets on the end of a few balls that go over the packs and show's off to the crowd.

Isn't that a crumber's job? I agree he's more valuable upfield but reading the ball off packs and being in the right place to run onto them is a skill in itself.

I agree completely!

Headland should be rotated through the pocket/the goalsquare from time to time, but never left there for an entire game.

Having said that he was fantastic today in getting the crumbs or centering the ball in to team-mates when required.

People could argue that he just got lucky in reading a few off the hands of the pack but......that is precisely what we have been missing down there! Someone who can be opportunistic, get in the right place at the right time and then convert.

Kiwi.

Doesn't deserve to be dropped after his four goal haul today.

And he is a lucky charm for us. Everytime he plays we win.

Murphy will be terribly unlucky because he definitely deserves a spot, but you can only fit in so many in the forward line, and it would be silly to drop either Tarrant or Pav.

It depends on how our midfield is playing. If we struggle like we did against Brisbane then I'd like to see Pav play 70% of the game as a midfilder with Tarrant, Campbell and Murphy/Warnock as the key forwards.

Kiwi on today's performance. It was his hardness at the marking contest that probably got us over the line today. I am a fan of Spud, Tater, whatever he's called, and I will never forget his performance in the Semi Final against Melbourne, but if he doesn't get back into the team he could be tradebait at the end of the season.

Pavlich, Tarrant, Kiwi. That's a potent forward line in the making. Now if we could only win some centre clearances :thumbsu:

Campbell's passion is fantastic too. He came off with a couple of minutes to go because he had a sore groin. It was being looked at by the trainers when Pav kicked that goal and Kiwi sprang to his feet, jumped in the air, raised his fist, then remembered he had a sore groin so quickly lay back down in pain with a sheepish grin on his face.

Just want to say that at the intra-club at the beginning of last season , I reported that this kid (ie Kiwi) was looking the goods.... also during last year's pre-season, I said that I was really liking the look of him....

I love his passion, his enthusiasm, his hardness, his second efforts... Not willing to write-off Murph, but at the moment, Kiwi has the edge.

This pre-season I said Andrew Foster was the one to watch... let's see how that bit of prophesising turns out... ;)
