Saw the Bushies play Eastern last week and was super impressed with Crisp and Reeves from the losing team.
Crisp looks like he can run and tackle all day...he's a good size and can take a good grab.
Reeves might not be the tallest ruckman but he certainly knows his craft.
I've seen these blokes a couple of times and they have been consistant.

Crisp in particular I think is really draftable. You're right about the tackling, love the energy he gives.

I see you have given the Lions the priority pick at 29 but shouldn't they have pick 30 as well - for the compo pick activated this year?

Will do later on.

Great work Knighta with some of your re-jigging.

I'm surprised you don't rate Frost higher, I've been very impressed with him over the year.

Same goes with Dobosz...

If I were taking the Tigers picks and the draft panned out this way it would go:

Greene
S.Ross
B.Brown

Can you tell me more about McInnes? I know little other than he is athletic and highly rated but he has been injured throughout most of the year. What's his disposal like and when fully developed who would you compare him to at AFL level?

Frost is an interesting one. Think his kicking can let him down which is why I have him going a little lower. But could certainly see GWS giving him a shot at 13/15 since he is such a unique KPP with his athleticism.

Will be interesting to see where Richmond finish. McInness has versatility to play back/fwd/ruck. I've seen him a little more down back which is why I think of him mostly as a KPD. Not a standout kick but better kick than Frost/Talia though.

Dobosz along with those others who are a year older are a little harder to place in the draft order. If he does go 1st round I'd say he is more late 1st. But performances have been very good and has shown big progress.

Didn't give Greene to Richmond since you already have a number of shorter mids. But could be a good get mid 1st round somewhere for a club.

Ross I like also. Have avoided putting him higher in my draft order since others don't seem to rate? But like his game. Very good ball user - always composed and never pressured.

B.Brown I'm also a big fan of. Unclear where he places in the draft order but I hope he does receive the chance because the talent is there. Would be a good get.

Some interesting big movers. Wasn't that long ago that you had Boseley as a very late rookie selection, good to see he eventually made his way up. Not sure about a top 15 selection for someone you have never seen before though.

Boseley's recent form has been good. Seems to have moved well up the draft order from all reports. Not sold on him being a 1st rounder but looking at the Geelong list they will need a KPD to replace Scarlett so Boseley is probably a fairly logical choice.

I mess around with the ratings pretty regularly so don't read anything into Manson going at 15. Next week will probably have him going around 25. But don't be shocked if Kevin Sheedy wants him at 15. He likes those high risk/ high reward types and isn't afraid to take a chance. Certainly with his recent performances would be in 1st round contention, but then again could just as easily go 2nd round.

I am quietly hoping he slides to the Lions for our combo or 2nd rd pick ;)

He's no 1st round lock anyway. Maybe Bris decide to go for a Tomlinson instead. Boseley isn't the only option.

with Clark most likely gone why would'nt Brisbane look at a tall forward at pick 29 and ruckman most likely Bolger at 30

Not gone yet - Clark. If he does go then Bolger might, and probably should if still available get a look.

what do you think of ben kennedy and darcy brown, saw some vision of them and they look like great pick ups but i dont see them in any phantom drafts, have you got any other information on them?

Assuming you're talking about the kid from Glenelg, Ben Kennedy is too young for this draft but would be a smokey for the GWS 17 year old mini-draft. The SA teams are supposed to be considering him.

Darcy Brown is one of those around the mark, seems a good solid player. Generally guys who don't play in the Championships don't get as much attention, but you can't argue with a kid playing VFL.

Ben Kennedy is a little dynamo. Has a great burst of speed. Dominated at the u18 champs for SA. Unfortunately is not of draft age. Possible through GWS mini draft though as a 17 year old.

Darcy Brown is a chance. Wouldn't be surprised to see him feature in a couple of other phantom drafts. Whether it be in the main draft or as a rookie. Have liked the bits i've seen.

You have seriously underated Toby Greene He is cearly a top 10 pick I dont know if you have seen him play or not but would not be surrpised if he was taken in the top 12

Seem more than enough of Greene's game. Has had a sensational season. There are allot who rate Greene a top 10 talent but I'm not one of them. The kid can play. Wins the hard ball. Works hard on the inside and uses it well in close. But don't think he has that star potential that those I have in that top 10 or 11 have. Think a more appropriate draft ranking is somewhere in the teens.

Similar types have slid in the past - Luke Parker is one of these from last year. Think Greene might be the same.

What are Matt Sullys chances of being drafted Nightmare?

Was rated in the top 10 country footballers by the herald sun... Think he is 194cms and 85kgs. Only 18 years old

Bolger will not drop to 30.

He's a late first round pick at worst.

I don't think anybody will really want to waste a top10 pick on Greene unless they need the inside mid. Would love him at the Saints but don't think he'll drop that far.

Have heard some very good things from those who have seen him. Seems to have a good attitude from all reports.

Very keen to check out some footage.

Has he got an invite to state screenings?

Don't have information on whether clubs are keen. But from all reports is worth a look.

I would have said that about Lycett last year also. 30 would be the lower end of where Bolger might go.

Clubs are better off taking ruckman as rookies these days with the success rate some of those projects are working out. Probably wouldn't take him much before 20.

Agree re. Greene. There are better talents - Buntine, Tyson, Hoskin-Elliot, Grigg, Longer, Sumner. Those 180cm mids are more common and while he can play I'd argue doesn't have the same upside as some of the other top talents. See him going somewhere in the teens. Will be a good immediate get who should produce from day 1. Adams + Nelson I'd also chuck in that same boat.

I think you're right about most of those names it all just depends on what order they get taken.

Teams will most likely be taking the best player that GWS doesn't want because of whatever their strategy might be.

There's going to be plenty of really good players from 10-20 but I think it drops off after that. A little bit deeper than last year but not overly awesome. Just in terms of obvious gun talents.

Tiges have got pick 14, does anyone give Kavanagh a chance of lasting till then? Who do we take if Kavanagh is taken by then?

When I next update will have Sam Docherty at 14 to Richmond. Brad McKenzie would be the other one I'd look very seriously at.

Teams in the finals do their draft picks change still or are they set from when the 24 rounds have been completed?

They change, If your team goes all the way to the grand final and wins, they will have the last pick in the 1st round.

What are the chances of Darren Ewing from NT Thunder getting drafted? 107 goals for the season and only 24? I reckon i heard Sheedy hinting about picking up a player north kicking lots of goals?

As I understand it is a little bit Mark Williams like (Ex Haw/Ess player) as that smaller full forward. Not sure there is a role for that type of player in the current day AFL unless he can play forward pocket or on a forward flank.

Would be a little surprised if he went in the main draft. As a rookie though. Who knows. Production is there so maybe a club can see a potential role for him.

Strong rumour in footballing circles that Gold Coast are seriously considering Matthew Buntine at 4.

Apprently they like his disposal, leadership credentials and allround footballing ability, add to that he could/should slot straight into the side come round 1.

Just a rumour, but take it with a grain of salt if you please.. would certainly throw the order out quite a bit.

Interesting to hear.

VERY seriously considered giving GC Buntine at 4 and wouldn't be a bad move.

Wouldn't surprise me to see it happen on draft day.

Should be out of Dom Tyson/ Matthew Buntine unless Chad Wingard drops for whatever reason.
