If we get Frawley trade a package to Gws including brown Keefe Blair and a few other experienced players for there pick.

didn't work the first time, probably won't work the 2nd time.

Heard rumours that collingwood are really big on Petracca growing up was a pies supporter! Any logic on that?

he is a pies supporter, but you'd need to give up something very good to get him. or just get Ed to have a whinge until the AFL give them priority pick 1

Hi KM, I see you've moved Billy Stretch up to Melbournes second round pick, rather than their third.

That's promising - what have you seen, or what has altered your thoughts recently on that?

Stretch is having a strong season. Melbourne fans should feel encouraged. He performed well through the u18 champs. Found the footy. Used it well. Used his pace. He's also performing strongly in the SANFL seniors and again doing those same things. He's ticking the boxes and has the proven performance on the board. If Melbourne can get him for a third round selection that's a bonus but in my view Stretch is worth a first round pick. He looks like a really good pro.

Petracca would love to play for the Pies and the Pies would love to have Petracca as he's one of the top prospects in this draft class.

It's just not going to happen. Collingwood don't have the assets or the assets they're willing or able to trade given all the key players are contracted and likely unwilling to be involved in any trade.

GWS are now in the process of reducing their list so they'll be looking to reduce the number of players on their list and will go for a quality over quantity approach.

They're unlikely to give up their top pick unless it results in a star or some combination of high, high level players.

In Collingwood's situation Steele Sidebottom or Ben Reid and the clubs first round pick may get GWS' top pick but I don't see them looking to move it.

Keeffe and Blair would be lucky to get GWS' second round pick.

Have to give something substantial to ever get into talks for anyone.

Uh. GWS want Petracca themselves, they want him a lot lol and unless they get an amazing deal then they're going to attempt to trade UP, not down, if anything (to secure Petracca).

Saints may take Petracca too, people shouldn't rule out that possibility, it's a good possibility too.

Agree with this, I think Petracca a very good fit for GWS, playing primarily as a high forward in conjunction with Devan Smith. GWS really need more goal kicking options.

Surely gws with all the players they've got done for the season dont get over melbourne on the weekend. Is Roos that bad a coach? Should get pick 2 and petracca.

Roos is a good coach and Melbourne are playing more fundamentally sound footy this year. Regardless of the result v GWS it's a pass mark for them given the retirement of Mitch Clark and lack of Jesse Hogan in that front half.

Who wins? Melbourne or GWS? Probably Melbourne but in the position of either team I'd be going for the win. Wright at 3 is a good get in his own right and could help either team.

Would GWS be into Durdin?

Would GWS be into Durdin?

Could be but probably not at 2/3. He's more someone who is seen as a 5-10 prospect in the most part.

GWS have liked worse early draft so not completely out of the question given they took O'Rourke and Plowman at 2/3 not long ago. They're certainly not afraid to take a chance and take their guy. So you can never say never.

KM.....I have pick 5 in a supercoach keeper league and was after some advice. Both Anthony Miles and Jeremy McGovern are available, would you place either of them within your current top 5 power rankings? I'm leaning towards Heeney as my pick but am attracted to the immediate impact Miles & McGovern offer. What are your thoughts on these guys and your top 5's scoring potential? Thanks in advance.

Missing the point. He's going to go top 3; you have to trade someone like Beams out to get him
can we stop mentioning beams in the pick 1 discussion. He will be a one club player and even If we wanted to move him on, pick 1 in this years draft with no clear number 1 would not satisfy us at all

Also gws will not get petrecca unless they trade for pick 1. A pick that high will always be for the best available, deficiencies can be solved with picks later in the draft, so I reckon the talk with stkilda picking a kpp over petrecca is rubbish if he is as good as others have depicted

I'm not saying that's what Collingwood will do; I'm saying that's what they'd need to give up to get Petracca.

i just cant see Port passing over Hugh Goddard if hes there! infact id see port jumping for joy and taking .00002 secs to read his name out!

Goddard may be a consideration but Port are expected to pass. He's generally seen as likely to go around pick 20.

McGovern will become a key defender for WCE long term and be a Darren Glass replacement. Not the best bet.

Miles can really find the footy and is the option for immediate impact. If after long term Heeney is the guy.

Beams isn't on the table.

He'd need to request a trade before he's moved.

Hey KM I was wondering what you know of Daniel mckenzie?

Daniel McKenzie is a real an athletic type. Good speed and endurance. Had a good game v Northern where he found lots of the footy but I'd like to see him have more of those dominant games. Other than that performance it's only been small glimpses.

Km what are your thoughts on tom lamb and clem smith? Sounds like these toe have significantly dropped?

They're two I haven't had all that high this year.

Both seem to have their issues.

Clem Smith has some real pace and attacks the contest hard but lacks the discipline to go with the hardness going in too high and collecting too many frees against because he doesn't get low enough on his tackles and often tackles head high and also struggles badly by foot for consistency.

Tom Lamb has real pace and versatility but lacks a defined best position, doesn't always bring his all and the intent you'd expect. His footskills can lack consistency and he's not a super strong mark for a tall.

Personally I wouldn't pick either before the third round but I see both going late first - second round at this point.

Is it just me or doesn't lamb sound similar to fyfe back in his draft days? Didn't get picked till 20 because of unknown position? Had real upside but had issues? Similar hieght.

Fyfe couldn't kick either (not that he can now) but he was marking everything and really finding the footy deep in the front half in bunches and at least showing even then that he could win it some even with his then thin build.

Lamb isn't that same contested ball winner. He doesn't seem to have that same intensity and intent to him. He's not nearly as strong 1v1 and isn't nearly that same quality marking target.

Other than both playing forward a lot as juniors and neither being able to kick (Lamb is less bad by foot) that's really where the similarities end.

So you're saying you don't know how good he is, but he is the number 1 pick?

Have you seen McCartin play?

Do you know if there will be any quality talls available for St Kilda next year?

Knightmare, Waterman has drifted a long way in your rankings. He performed pretty well in the Championships until getting injured I thought and has been performing well at Colts level since.

How come you think he has dropped so far? Were you expecting him to dominate more, improve quicker, be playing league?

Ryan Burton looks very talented if he can grow a further 2-3cm then it'll be perfect, (he's 191cm now I think).

Joshua Schache I think is likely to be one of the top KPPs next year.

The main consideration for you guys should be how long it takes a player to come on, a mid you take next year will be playing good footy more quickly than a tall you take this year.

A tall you take next year will take even longer - and Burton and Schache are still a fair way off the finished product, certainly McCartin was more advanced at the same stage.
