It looks like Duggan is a real chance to go to Richmond now?
At a guess:Whys that mate?
Knightmare do you know how Ryan Lim has been going training at Richmond? Any word on if he has impressed?
I think WCE will take Duggan ahead of Weller. At a guess:
Mccartin
Petracca first 4 look decided
Brayshaw
Pickett
De Goey looks more likely than not
Goddard looks done deal
Ahern/Laverde
Laverde/Ahern
Moore
Wright
Weller
Duggan
I'm not sure I see the need for Essendon with Hooker and Hurley. That's what it comes down to. That and I can see Essendon being really attracted to both Weller and Cockatoo if there.
surely with missing out on the first round last year we need stocks?
still have kavangh coming through and jacks merret pushing into the mid soon we dont need 2 more mids?
still i pray we get cockatoo......!
In regards to Jack Watts, what about as a junior though? Surely if you didn't already know how he turned out and if he was in this draft he'd be top 5 at least? I don't believe there are 20-25 juniors more highly rated than Jack Watts was as a junior.Around pick 20-25 perhaps.
He trained with us in January. He's not there nowWhys that mate?

KM what chance will Hawthorn go for a forward with there first pick as I could see Breust player more midfield next year.
How do you rate Jaden McGrath, knighta?
From reading a few older articles it seems as a bottom ager last year he was well in the top 20 mix and expected to have a big year however being injured this year has seen him fall off the radar of most draftee discussions.
A guy on our board said StK have been in contact with him throughout the season conducting multiple interviews and keeping in contact via phone.
Do you think considering he was one of the more highly rated guys prior to an injury riddled season this year that he could be a real draft bargain?
Also, watching his highlights he looks like the perfect outside player StK need to compliment the many young inside mids we've invested in over the past few years. How would you describe him as a player?
Cheers.

Any chance Weller slipping to 19?

Geez if we could somehow get Laverde & Blakely I would be ecstatic. You have Blakely going at 30, do you see much of a chance of him sliding down a couple more spots to 32?
Jaden McGrath has shown glimpses but his issue has always been injury. He struggled with injury last year and same story this year. But none the less he is draftable as a small mid who has particularly in some of the AIS games early season looked good. I remember the AIS v Collingwood game well and McGrath really competed well v the Collingwood mids and was probably one of AIS' very best mids on the day which was a great sign. If he sneaks into the late draft region then he is worth a shot. He has the scope to develop and if you get him late and he develops then he would certainly be a good get.
McGrath is a classy small midfielder. Has some real composure with ball in hand and uses it well. Has some hardness and can win his own inside ball. Uses it well and does many good things such as lowering his eyes to find inside 50 targets, he will get the handball off last second when guys go to tackle him. So he shows some good glimpses. Just his TAC Cup numbers on paper look poor - but again that relates to injury and if he was healthy it would be a different story and McGrath would be spoken about more highly.
It's a possibility Blakely makes it to 30. He is certainly one of my favourites and to be perfectly honest with you I like Blakely more than any of the guys in the conversation for Collingwood at 5.
If Collingwood look for speed then Boekhorst may be that pick at 30, or perhaps Collingwood like Cavka more as a big game guy with a big motor so it's possible Blakely makes it to WCE in the 2nd round. As a Pies fan it would kill me though to see my team pass on him and I really appreciate Blakely's game.
Agreed, but who do you want at 17.Blakey is who I want at Essendons pick#20.
Sounds awesome mate, keep up the good work!Beasley is undersized being officially listed at 190.1cm and no longer growing. A below average but improving rebounder by position and probably the best stopper in any of the junior competitions.
With Beasley what he goes best is play key defence and take the best key forward. The issue with that is at 190cm that's against the odds at the next level. In terms of other roles while I haven't seen it I anticipate he will be limited as a relatively though much improved rebounder. That and while we're yet to see it as a 3rd tall or further up the ground I'm not convinced with how he'd go having not seen it, and having not seen it you can only assume it's not something he'll be doing in the future.
As a rookie if I needed a key defender I'd take a shot at Beasley. Before that understanding his lack of height by position I'd hold off on him and go for other talents I rate more highly.
Gregson is for a small a good on-baller and can win it. Late/rookie draft he will be in the mix and given Port have those picks in that late draft range are probably a fair chance to take him.
I have contacted the Victorian clubs and I have been in communication with a couple of clubs. I've only approached clubs to seek feedback on how to further improve.
If I don't get picked up in any capacity I'll just continue doing what I'm doing and continue to step things up until I can't be ignored.
Hey knight mare great thread good to see some informative info! I'm a roos fan and if cockatoo is avaliable surley he doesn't pass us at pick 16! I think he could potentially be the best player from this Draft! Wouldn't mind a key defender with our 2nd pick is Oscar Mcdonald worth pick 25?
Hi KM
Is top 10 for Durdin becoming less likely?
KM, I can't understand why all these phantoms suddenly have us taking Dan Howe at 33? I understand we liked him last year but we overlooked him, and have stated explicitly that we'll be looking for mid depth this year. One of our areas of least worry is 3rd tall defenders... Why would we spend a 2nd pick on one?
