of course the trade will be weighted in our favor what the hell has Stevens done at afl level?
I think you miss the point.
He is requesting a trade because he cannot get a sustained run in the AFL due to the Eagles midfield depth.
Would have been a top 22 at at least 10 AFL clubs.

Megatrade involving hooker, brown, Stevens and Cripps?

Not trying to say it's fair, just putting it down for feedback/insults

WC gain: Cripps, Hooker
WC lose: brown, Stevens

Essendon gain: Stevens, pick x
Essendon lose: Hooker

Saints gain: brown
Saints lose: Cripps, pick x

What else would need to be added? Knowing these things, I've probably given the eagles a sweet deal.

From essendon's point of view, if it was Stevens and a pick in the 20's for Hooker I would say yes.

I think that would rule out the possibility of a 3 way deal, or even a two way deal.

Just out of interest, what would be the lowest you'd accept?

Hooker is unlikely to come to WC anyway but you know...

I wouldn't accept anything above 35. Whilst Hooker has some limitations, at his best he has shown to be a more than serviceable AFL standard CHB. Not sure what Brown has shown to be considered more valuable in trade calculations, and it is debatable whether Stevens has the quality to make it at AFL level. Therefore, I think it is reasonable compensation to ask for Stevens and a pick in the 20's for our starting CHB.

Stevens would be a great pickup for Essendon. He is a ready made player, incredibly tough and a good inside mid. Watson would love the work Koby does to help out his teammates. I would be amazed if pick 32 ended up being better than Stevens.

The only reason he can't break into the West Coast team is because of Priddis. They like to surround Priddis with quicker mids like Kerr, Shuey, Scott Selwood and Masten. But for the work that he does I would say that Stevens would walk into Essendon or Carlton's best 22 or another team that needs a tough inside mid.

are you trying to say WC only need one inside mid? That's the only reason he doesn't play?

Then why would Essendon need him? Going by your theory? After all, we have an inside mid

How good do you want Essendons trade/ draft period to be?

I think it has been pretty good already - not sure paying pick 32 in a super draft with solid depth is a good result for us. West Coast fans seem to be delighted about it though. I smell something fishy. I'd prefer to go to the draft, Stevens doesn't excite me. Howlett and Hocking would be well ahead of him anyway.

Lance what I meant is that Priddis has kept Swift and Stevens out of the team. Masten has been able to adapt because he is an elite runner and can play off the half forward flank at times. Stevens cannot play half forward he needs to be around the ball.

Essendon will know exactly what they are getting with Stevens and would not be chasing him if they didn't need him. He is easily worth pick 32.

You mean in a compromised draft which isn't even that good. This draft is no longer considered a super draft. It's depth is barely above average.

I'd take Stevens with pick 48 only. Otherwise I'd be happy to use 48 in the draft.
Maybe a swap for Reimers + pick 51

We
Thank god we aren't dealing with you then. :thumbsu:

We are talking about a guy who has struggled with injury and when fit couldn't get a game for west coast when they were riddled with injury mid year. He was pick 25 or there abouts and you want pick 32. You can keep him, I'd rather go to the draft.

That's like us asking for pick 10 for Gummbleton who was pick 2

Straight swap for Lonergan?
actually WC can keep him, But there is always Dyson, Reimers, Slattery?
