Kornes, Maclure and their 30 A Graders

So you think McKay is one of the best players in the game? My friend, this explains your reaction to post ratio.

The very bad news for you is Fadge loves this post.

The good news is there still may be hope for you if I explain one small fact to you...

McKay changed hands as a free agent, so the actual pick North got is reflective of how shyte North were that season, rather than how good McKay was.

Fadge might have been able to explain that to you in the interests of keeping people on this thread informed. As usual, it falls to ol muggins here. 🙂

Just when you think Cornes can’t be any more of a dead set half wit, he does an ‘A’ grade list with no Harris Andrew’s. Sicily- has to be stiff, bloke is a gun.

Ludicrously nebulous terms like A grader are just an excuse for people to push agendas without being held to account.

Drongos like Cornes & Fadge think they can watch a few games of footy, sniff the wind a bit and figure out better than the coaches and list managers(who devote their whole working lives, inside knowledge and far greater expertise to it)which players are of most value. It is hilarious when you really think about it.

Yes.

How dare any of us have and share an opinion?

Except... you have. Telling us we're all wrong.

🤣 Fadge championing the cause of people being able to form opinions without being ridiculed now.

Something is not quite adding up here.
Merely pointing out your hypocrisy.

I'd like to know what 'agenda' I'm trying to push by starting this thread and sharing my own personal opinion.

Is this yet another Anti-Richmond conspiracy to go with Stephen Hocking, the stand rule and the ARC?

The same Tom Lynch who was last All Australian in 2016, as a Gold Coast player?

Maybe we could still nominate Tom Hawkins post retirement, given he was at least All Australian in 2022.
Hang on Meow....

Are you really telling me Lynch hasn't been awarded an All-Australian since he's been at Richmond?

The AA Selectors really do not like the Tigers, do they?

I think if you list 57, you need to list 100.

The likes of Houston, Moore, Treacy, Miller, Holmes, Kelly just to name a few - if you're including Rampe and Ryan.

I think Rampe is one of the most consistent and best defenders of the last 10 years is slowly declining but still above the others.

Ryan has put together about 5 very good years now and plays above and below his height great versatility.

I am not a big fan of Houston I don’t see what others see.

Treacy could be in a years time just don’t see him to have the runs on the board yet. He is B +.

Waterman had an A grade year but wasn’t far off being delisted in recent year.

Holmes B+ on the verge of being A for sure could include him though.

Miller was an A grade player but isn’t atm.

Moore the same.

This was just me going off the top of my head opinion based of who I think is an A grade player. I would say 50 is a good number for A grade players makes them about the top 7 percent of players in total.

A + would be another story.

Define A grader.

Pundit puffery.
In this instance, it can be defined by what it is not. 'A' is the highest grade (we can assume given the best players in the league are included - Daicos, Cripps etc, that there is no 'A+' grader) therefore any player not included on these lists better than the other players included, we can define them as A grade.

Sam McClure interviewed a week after his list was published, and he regrets omitting one player from his list - Pendlebury.

The one he regrets including - Sam Taylor, given he's only played two full seasons in seven.

Interesting calls.

Sam McClure is like the football equivalent of the Victorian Liberal Party. Just when you think they couldn't possibly get any dumber, they go and say something as dumb as this and make you realise there is no limit to their stupidity.

Who would have guessed you were a Dan Andrews fanboi?

Wowee...

About as far from a Labor or Dan fan as you'll ever get, please never attach that title to me.

The point still remains, Taylor is close to the best key defender in the league. Pendles wouldn't be in the top 50 mids these days.

McClure is an idiot.

average Collingwood hater Pendles is easily still a top 50 mid on leadership alone and did you even see that crows game mate? two goals and 30 disposals at 36 years old is taking the piss shockingly bad take.

If it's about 'putting an A Grade season together', it is not an unreasonable call, if one player can't consistently get on the park.

But I forgot... apparently Pendlebury wouldn't get a game at Carlton....

LOLOL
