Kreuzer put on a load of weight to become a man mountain... if he had a couple more games before he came back into the senior side then he wouldnt have been so bulky.

Losing 6KG in bulk might not necessarily mean that he has lost the muscle mass. I think that he will be just as strong... he was always going to be a man mountain. It's just about finding that perfect point.

Let's hope he can learn when and where to run as a forward, at present he is lost as a forward when you watch him play there live at the games.

If Mitchell develops or Watson comes good as a defender meaning hendo could go fwd would be interesting to see where k and hammer would end up.

Speed is our weapon of choice so we never want to give that up by playing to many talls.

No Kreuzer should be our first choice ruckman! Imagine if he can produce games like against Sydney consistently. Rather play Warnock full forward

Everyone goes on about NicNat being something special...

But NicNat is a jumper... he doesnt have the same second and third efforts that Humphrey does. Humphrey is a lot better than NicNat as a footballer. And he has only been playing at the top level since 2008... and that includes 12 months out with his knee.

I would prefer Humphrey over NicNat anyday...

NicNat is much, much more than just a jumper. His intensity at the contest is incredible for a player his size. He stalks players when going for a tackle.

Not surprised. 107kg is way too much for his role. Didn't take long to sort it out with Kreuzer's work ethic. Good to see him back in his familiar role in 2012.

Kruezer is the pack hunter, and does it 10x better than ANY other ruck in the comp.

Warnock is the tall timber.

Hampson is the leaper.

All bases covered.

:)

Good to hear, was downright painful watching him lumbering around the field this season. Hopefully being freed up physically will give him more confidence to play at his best.

Unfair on NicNat. His follow-up work is exceptional and a lot of the time he plays as basically an inside midfielder. His defensive work is also great.

Can anyone tell me who the player with his arm in sling in this mornings article, far right hand side

I'm OK with either of them 'resting' there but think they would both be wasted there if spending substantial time forward. Both far too important around the ground. Hampson is being groomed for the forward line, let him shoulder most of the fwd work.

I dunno. NicNat's second and third efforts are pretty impressive and I think his football nous is undersold. His tackling reminds me of Yarran for some reason. I'd love NicNat at the Blues; not at the expense of Kreuzer of course.

When I think of Krezuer's potential I think back to the Sydney game last year. Very different ruckman to NN but how effective was he in that game. I'm hoping this might turn into a modern day Big Nick - Polly Farmer rivalry.

Anyway, I'm glad to see Kreuzer slimming down. Looked to heavy last season, especially around his arse.

NicNat has to be the single most overrated player in the history of the game (as of his present level). Put the pressure on NicNat and you'd swear he had stolen Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility. Watch our final against them for proof.

He's great when the opposition isn't focused at all on him and he can play as a free swinger.

I do, however, rate him as a ruck when he keeps his eye on the ball rather than the opposition. Gives away (and gets away with twice as much) silly free kicks in the ruck. However, has a football brain and is extremely efficient in this regard and will be almost impossible if he maxes out the potential.

Definitely has the potential to be one of the greats but don't confuse potential with actual production. He's a long, long way from being there just yet.

He's well ahead of the curve for a third year ruckman. Might lack some consistency but he's already an AFL standard footballer when most ruckmen his age are lumbering around in the 2nds.

Oh yeah I remember Nic Nat's 6 possession, 2 kick effort in the SF. We ran off the guy all night long. He's not the most agile footballer out there. The bad bits get glossed over by the media cheerleaders. But.... who cares. It's just interesting. i.e. the perception V reality thing.

Each to their own i guess. I think he is the most unique and exciting player in the game, and if he is able to harness his full potential the sky is the limit for him.

Never saw the need to disparage others to make our own seem better. Same reason why it baffles me when people boo Judd because of how good he is (or for their other immature reasons :p)

Was really hoping that he'd shed some weight this pre-season. He really was just too heavy for someone who has to run around the ground all day long. I think it affected his contested marking somewhat this year. Hopefully he can become that dominant swing forward/ ruck we need.

I know it's your board so I'll tred carefully.

Yes I agree Naitanui was down on form but it probaly had more to do with the fact he had to play number 1 ruckman for over a half against Collingwood. He hadn't had to play number 1 ruck all season. Not sure if it would of mad emuch difference with his already bung shoulder but it doesn't really matter.

No ruckman had a big impact in that game did they ? Naitanui still got the 39 odd hit outs as a second ruckman and set up some good plays while in ruck.

The week before in his first afl final he was dominante. Collected about 8 clearances most hit outs I think. Had a few of them amazing palm downs to players and everyone was having a wankfest over him. Plays alrit against you guys shout collecting the ball much then the week after he once again plays a very good game against Geelong. Not a bad first finals series. Most people on our board thought he was second behind Glass for the finals. Some thought first.

Even Carlton said they would have picked him if he was 2 days older.

Kruezer is a massive bloke for his size and a great athlete. He's being wasted as a FF IMO. Problem is for you guys is how good Warnock has gotten while being number 1 ruckman. Not a bad delema to have though.

If he has shed that much already than he's obviously got his mind toward becoming that sort of player and from all reports if he puts his mind to something he can do it. Look forward to watching him next year (except when we verse each other that is).

Good luck for next year guys.
