If there was a merger with Ardy it would be to help two struggling clubs to continue. No one in that boat around Ardy.

But as we stand right now, they’re a fully paid up club with voting rights. They had two delegates attend the league AGM and voted on things, so I assume they have every intention of fielding a side this season. Hopefully there’s some announcements soon though, stop the questions being asked and so other clubs know what’s going on.
Maybe they merge with mooroopna in the gv, and get three games out there a year

My thinking re going into Mooroopna was it gives them a face in the closest big town ,kids can walk to training, maybe get an overflow from Mooroopna cats, run Auskick , just more opportunities.
They can’t keep doing the same thing, they have been smashed the last what 8 years?,clubs struggle to get players to play against them because some use it as a rest week and some clubs say we aren’t paying you when we play them so it’s up to you play or not , and that’s not being disrespectful it’s just a way to spread your salary cap.
Yes there is change rooms on the 2nd ground , they are not great but it would be a start also the cricket rooms could be used as a function centre, maybe if you spoke to them, these are just some ideas , because you can’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome.

Some sort of affiliation? Other than just an MoU which I assume they have.

It would be great if some Mooroopna Reserve players could go there for x amount of games, maybe the games that Ardy play at Mooroopna, but as is the case with most clubs, I am guessing that Mooroopna don’t have a surplus of Reserves players to help that work.

I am sure Ardy are prepared to get creative but having the support from other clubs or parties will be the tough part.

Yep Trent, clubs need to look at all possibilities to keep afloat. For this to happen, what might be the advantages for Mooroopna do you think?

I did think that too bootz, they sound like they are at the moment financially stable, which was the plus

Absolutely noting!!!!

It depends on how you look at it…

Mooroopna could run with four open age football teams across two competitions, two U18 teams, GV U16s, SDJFL U15s/13s/11s/9s, KD 4ths and their current Women’s team and a claim to being the GVs biggest club.

If GV Reserves are on shaky ground it could be a real innovation.

Heard today Ardy are struggling players wise both footy and netball chuck in sponsorship and helpers and of course a senior coach I am not convinced they will be participating this season
I have on pretty good authority someone applied for the senior coaching position, as well as being able to deliver very sizable sponsor dollars to jump on board with the club, yet never heard back.

Roota was keen to have a go at it. Did you contact them Roota?
You'd think the club is in an ok position financially after crawfs help, I would think they've got a coach on their radar, and the advertising was purely a tick the box exercise, especially as it appears they are proactive at league meetings, maybe the big pez is heading home

Doubt Pez would head back there would he as my understanding is he is based in Melbourne. He was was a Shepp Swans (Lemnos) junior.

I did look on ardmonas website, they only advertised for the coaching roles on the 30 December, so as it's only the tenth, they probably haven't even met to get a list of candidates

I never said Undera had to do anything, l said perhaps Ardmona could merge with them to keep there name alive.
And with regards to going to Mooroopna , it was an idea outside the box ,similar to getting a coach with a dodgy resume of ******* clubs over
Sorry Mr. Job I've been absent you did suggest a possible merger between Undera and Ardmona to play at the Mooroopna #2 Oval = Fact! In regards to us to us having a Coach with a dodgy Coaching Resume I think I'm correct in saying he is one of only two Premiership Coaches ( Senior level) Coaching in the Comp at present and the only one who has Coached a Flag at Major League level ohh and he did play AFL as well. Well ahead of you in a Playing and Coaching capacity.
