Rischa and Bradshaw say no to Carlton, Lachie say yes. What can you say. All the best.
Heard on SEN that Hendo was perhaps more willing to come back home than Rischa.
You needed SEN to bring that to your attention
It started ''happening'' on Wednesday, when Lachie Henderson rang his father to discuss what Brendan Fevola's potential move to Brisbane might mean to his chances of getting a regular game in the Lions' forward line. Henderson was soon on the phone again, telling Dad he had become the trade bait that could make the deal happen.
''He had 48 hours to make a decision. I thought he was pretty mature the way he went about it. He was fairly cut up when he decided to go, knowing what he was leaving, the mates he'd made and just wondering whether he was doing the right thing.''
FOR Lachie Henderson, moving back to Victoria last week as part of the Brendan Fevola trade was all about opportunity.
Once 19-year-old Henderson knew Brisbane had commited to Fevola, he realised his chances of getting a regular game with the Lions would be slim.
So he and his manager, Ricky Nixon, acted quickly.
I feel ill.

I can imagine that riska may not be the most popular bloke if this kid can come good on his potenial.
Yeah, amazingly stupid post by Kruzering, what is he, 10?I'd like to think our supporters are rational enough to not misdirect anger so stupidly.
Rischitelli had a contract and has the right to see it out.

"I really did love Brisbane, but the opportunity of coming down here and having a spot to play was the main thing," he said.
You're quite the masochist Dylan.
Well, just bitterly disappointed we lost such a highly rated and quality individual who loved the Lions. I personally hope he has every future success he deserves. No doubt you too will be disappointed if Hendo turns into half the player Jono Brown is and knowing what we could have got at pick 12 tonight.
Re Henderson- I may be in a tiny minority, I don't think he has shown anything to date to suggest he'll be an out and out star. He MAY be- KPP's can often be late developers and he is very young. But to me he always seemed reactive, uncertain, and a bit slow off the mark.
Will be a great player, but didn't fit in with the plans of our current coach. There is no point keeping a player around when he is NOT going to get games. He belongs in the forward line.
Lets also remember that it was Hendo himself that jumped at the chance to go back home. He wasn't shipped off against his will. If your talking about doing the right thing by the player, then he is much better off at the blues for his career. I wish him all the best except when he comes up against the lions
If you go back and watch his games, focussing on him, you'll see that with the limited opportunities he actually did better than most 1st and second year KPP's.You're not the only one, I didnt think he showed enough for us to be too disappointed with his trading. He never took the game on and in terms of development, Brown, Riewoldt and Roughhead showed something early on in their careers. IMO Henderson hasn't shown us much during his time with the Lions to warrant such standing.
So we get to the heart of your issue with him.He didnt love the Lions as far as staying here and biding his time knowing he had the 3 star forwards ahead of him. He didnt want to wait so he left. Good luck to him but I wouldnt go as far as regretting his trade.
