He'll probably go in the Pick 9-15 range, and to be honest, even if we did have something to trade for that sort of pick (we don't), I don't think he'd be an ideal target for us. Sure, it would be cool to have two brothers playing for us, but we need outside run (Cooneyish but with good knees), a small forward (Bettsish), a fwd/ruckman (Lycettish) and a key defender (Frawleyish) far more than another inside mid.

Yeah Bettsish had a great game Sat Night 4 Kicks :D

Nothing a change of scenery wouldn't fix :p. He didn't just lose the ability to kick 50 goals in a season overnight. He's not 30 years old. He's not hobbled by injuries. He's just in a rut in a team that has too many smalls, not enough grunt and a playing group that is still adjusting to a new game plan. I say throw an offer out to him.

I've been impressed with Brad Crouch. I think the AFC would say it has been a success. How's this situation unfolding because I would presume Adelaide are right into this kid and will be maneuvering for a first round pick to get him. Clearly, finding the pick is the situation.
A - Adelaide has no 1st round pick and no realistic expectations of trading into the 1st round.
B - Just because Adelaide has one Crouch on the list does not mean that they are any more likely to draft another. If he's the best player available at our pick then he gets selected, he won't get any special benefits just because he's related to Brad.

Maybe we could do a Sydney and ask the AFL to give hum to us for nothing.

The only way we could get a pick such as that for crouch is if we offer up Mitch Grigg or an established star. Mitch Grigg showed enough that he maybe a deadset gun and do we really need to trade for our midfield. I think we should be looking at our rucking stocks and maybe our defenders. Our midfield runs pretty deep.

Pure fantasy us getting Crouch jr. given our draft picks this year, local lad already on the radar of all AFL clubs, outstanding young man just like brother Brad, just hope he's gone before Sydney get there pick given the shit they caused us.

Offering up Mitch Grigg would not get it done, no way.

Would comfortably be a tie breaker factor surely.
Retaining Crouch essential.

why not have a word to him and tell him not to enter in the draft until the following year, who knows he may even hate his brother?

I think there are more reasons than talent alone. I know two AFL playing brothers who desperately wanted to play in the same AFL team, it was a dream for them. I think getting both would secure Brad's future as a one club player. Obviously there would need to be marginal talent differences between players available but if there wasn't much in it, I'd pull the trigger.
