This whole notion of 'breaking even' depends on how highly you value #2 in the first place. IMO supporters -- from all clubs, not just Richmond -- absurdly overvalue the worth of draft picks.

I agree that there's no point trading #2 if you only break even. You want to come out ahead. But Brown and Reid for #2 is a terrible deal for Collingwood, especially when you consider that #2 by itself wouldn't land us Judd.
