If we beat Geelong the lid will be off for me. The way i see it is it doesnt matter if the lids on or off if we choke in the finals we are still gonna cop the same amount of crap from all the other ferrels + its not every years where we are 7-1 and are winning alot. We should enjoy all these wins. GO PIES!

Amazing feeling to be where we are at the moment. Think back to last season where St Kilda looked absolutely unbeatable. I was scared of them as I didn't see how anyone could beat them.
The thing is though is that St Kilda lost the Grand Final and that is the biggest reality check and something that everyone should bare in mind.
We are on fire at the moment but all we are doing is ensuring we get enough points to finish on or near the top of the ladder. Once round 22 finishes then it is another ball game all together. If the Grand Final was played next week then I would be confident of winning but we are a long way off September and there could be a big shift in form or injuries *touch wood* by that time.
Lets enjoy the form now though. I see a confidence in the team that is amazing. I think we will demolish Geelong but still then we must keep things in perspective

I couldn't agree more. How the hell other supporters can get away with personal attacks and have their posts covered up by Mods instead of reprimanded like we would be if we said less back... (St Kilda supporters have a free ride on the main board - and this is what has caused the main board to become a pathetic place - seems you are only allowed to post negative things about Collingwood and its posters and any rebuttals get culled like the snakes in the snake wacking episode of the Simpsons.

There's a place for serious footy discussion and a place for good natured banter (re: telling opposition supporters we are going all the way and are unbeatable - even if you don't believe it).
If you can't take the ridicule if we fall short then feel free to keep the lid shut. I enjoy winding my mates up about how good we are, but also accept all the calls and texts when we lose (there's plenty of them).
It's all part of the fun.
