Just had a peep at the equivalent of this thread on the Carlton board and i suppose equivalent is the wrong word.

The ferals over there genuinely believe they will win by ten goals. Its not just what they want to happen its what they think will happen. God i hope we shut them up.

They seem to be forgetting last year, lets give them a little reminder.

Slowly, I'm becoming a Carlton hater. It's really only because of the Carlton hate spruiked on BF that I ever even became aware of it, and just really realised that there are two ways I would like us to win.

1. By a point with the last kick of the day, just so it hurts.
2. By 10 goals plus, so it hurts.

I think I'll just feel satisfied if we beat them by two or three goals. I actually want the win to hurt them, which is different for me

What about Rd 13 last year. Kick away in the first, let them back in slowly, they hit the lead with 10 minutes to go in the last, we win by 35 points.

gday people, long time reader first time poster. As this is my first post i wanna make it a memorable one. Just thought id quickly say was at the game yesterday and whilst i was impressed was particular performances, lets not get carried away here, the quality of the football really did show how far behind essendon and fremantle are compared to other teams in the comp, not to say there was alot of room for optimism! You have to love the way pears and daniher controlled that backline and the way zaka played on debut, how badly we need a midfielder that can hit targets in our forward 50 him and lovett will be hugely important for us this year as i seriously think we lack class in the midfield. But what I really wanted to say was I was at the game yesterday and with all my essendon mates and we all agreed that we would happily lose every game this year and we would not mind....as long as we beat carlton twice. I can not even tell you how much i hate that club, its players and supporters and i pray we give them an absolute spanking!

Oh this is the best way to beat the scum. Nothing better than hearing that "running away with the game" roars after each goal. You know the one I'm talking about. It gives me satisfaction in large amounts.

Huge lolzzz @ the blues fans thinking the game is a forgone conclusion. After all the grief they've caused us in during their muppet years, beating us every flipping time when we were heavy favourites, they should know that form counts for NOTHING.

Was great. What was also entertaining was this one Carlton supporter sitting by himself in MCC. Was going nuts all game and was trying to pump up the crowd at which point he didn't realise Essendon scored a goal. The expression on his face was priceless.

A picture would have looked like a lone Carlton supporter in the middle with a confused face, facing the crowd with Essendon fans jumping up and down around him.
