What do you guys think is better for viewing the game, i'm trying to decide where to reserve seats on level 1 or on level 2

I prefer being amongst in level 1 but level 2 provides the better view i spose

I prefer level 2 for the view, level 1 for the crowd atmosphere.

I spent most of '08 on level one though. Level 2 at the G allows you to see the whole ground without being too far away from the action, whereas in various places on level 1 you can't see the other side of the ground. Level 1 crowd is louder.;)

I'd go level 1 Ponsford being a Pies supporter. :D

Level 1 has a terrific atmosphere as you are with the true footy fans where nothing but the game at hand is discussed, it is perfect if that is the kind of supporter you are.
Level 2 is a brilliant view, but a spiritless position to sit more of your on the fence or fair - weathered supporter seating.

Problem is with Level 2 is that the facilities on N and P in the Southern Stand are very ordinary.

N in the Ponsford is behind the goals, N in the Olympic only just meets centre wing. If you aren't a member, it's very difficult to get wing seats on the 2nd level, with good facilities.

The bars on N in the Olympic and Ponsford are very nice though.

There's a better view on level 2 than on my own couch. Level one is for cricket fans that don't like cricket or footy fans that do love footy. You'll have more fun down there, but to watch the game go up to 2 or back your combi up the fence.

level 2 ponsford was unreal this year..

The atmosphere was great and the view was excellent also..

had dome seats on level one in the back row and did not enjoy it at all, could not see much of the game..

i think level 1 atmosphere sounds better because its all boxed off and everything just seems so much louder.

but for a good view level 2 has easily the better view

Either beats level 3, especially the top half of level 3. Watching the GF from level 3 this year about 10 rows from the back was horrendous.. especially after the last 4 GF's of being on level 1.

Level 2 IMO is the best.

It depends on what you like from a game, and who you're going with.

All levels are good, both at the MCG and the Dome, even behind the goals. Level one is good for pure footy, and to get amongst it, level two is great for footballing luxury and to watch the game in padded seats and sit at a height which is all but level with the ruckmen's heads, and level three/four is great for analysing a game, and just being a neutral observer. Sucks when it's your team, though, and you really get into the game, and you're surrounded by opposition supporters.

25m out from goal at the Dome on level one is quite shoddy, though, I've found. A little cramped, and the opposite side of the ground can be difficult to see/comprehend, but you get by. :thumbsu:
