We wish.

Hawthorn would want a first round pick for Rawlings, not two battling forwards.

Neither club would do this one. We could get a heap more for Bartel, whilst the Doggies would be silly to trade one of their few taller prospects.

A fair deal, i suppose. However i'd be inclined to keep Enright.

Starting in the wrong place...

Just a thought......

Can we look into our football dept first?

Who will be there next year and why?

I believe Bomber is worth another year...but we really need to see results to get excited about.

MrCatMan.

PS: I believe the current list -DClark -CMooney +Rawlings -(Whoever we need to trade to get Rawlings) is good enough.

PPS: Maybe we should recruit Crazy John to do our bidding during the draft (after his performance on The Block last night :))

I'd like to see Wojcinski continue to be played on the wing or HBF where he can use his great pace to advantage.

Been thinking about this for a while (seasons been gone since mid year) and here goes. Assume we start with picks 6, 21, 37, 53, 69.

TRADES
1. Street + our Pick 53(4rd) for pick 42(3rd) from Ess
2. Spriggs + Mooney + 37(3rd) for Whitnall**
3. Pick 21 + Clarke for Trent Croad
4. Kingsley for Brad Green
** Not sure if we have to use our 3rd for Blake or if it can be any 3rd pick. Thats why I traded to get another 3rd pick

Pick up Tim Notting or Leon Davis with pick 4 of the Preseason Draft
List changes
IN: Whitnall, Croad, Green, Pick 6, Blake, Pick 69, Notting/Davis, rookie elevation.
OUT: Spriggs, Mooney, Kingsley, Clarke, Street, Woolnough, White, Lord

Team
B Rooke Scarlett Milburn
HB Graham Harley Enright
C Chapman Corey Notting
HF Ablett Whitnall Croad
F Johnson McCarthy Riccardi
R King Ling Bartel

Inter: Green Wojcinski Sanderson Kelly

What do you think? Do I get the job as our recruiting manager?

Team
B Rooke Scarlett Milburn
HB R Clarke Harley Enright
C Chapman Corey Notting
HF Ablett Petrie Croad
F Johnson McCarthy Riccardi
R King Ling Bartel

If we picked up Raph Clarke with pick 6 I would put Graham on the bench and raph on the BF and swap whitnall with petrie.
TRADES
1. Street + our Pick 53(4rd) for pick 42(3rd) from Ess
2. Spriggs + Mooney + 37(3rd) for Petrie
3. Pick 21 + Clarke for Trent Croad
4. Kingsley for Brad Green

But it may depend if Ablett choses to play.

I'm sorry you don't rate Whitnall but the guy can play. He has to be our number one target.
North won't trade Petrie while Carlton might trade Whitnall at the right price. Mooney and Spriggs are young and would be in their
best team at the start of next season. Pick 37 would give them two early 3rd picks when they are allowed into the draft.

Remember what happened the last time we picked up a player from Carlton?? Besides which, Lance Whitnall's father played for Carlton, therefore he has Carlton in his blood. I just can't see the Blues wanting to trade away Whitnall at any price.

Scouse Murphy's on-field output was very good. OK he was a sh*t bloke and in the end we got no long term benefit out of him, but don't forget the fact he was our 3rd best player. If you want to stear clear of certain clubs then I'd be more worried if we traded with WCE. Players we get from there have produced nothing. :(
