Re: Mark Neeld Full List Assessment.

Very effusive in his rating of MacAffer. We obviously love our Gippy Power boys. :)

Re: Mark Neeld Full List Assessment.

Mods, can you merge mine with this? :/

Yep, good merge, only just found out it's on the CFC site too.:D

So, to summarise, everyone either-

-had a fantastic year
-was injured and struggled to make the side
-'was a development year' so they stayed in the VFL.

Even Big Footy feedback gives a more accurate and thorough run down, like Danny Stanley gets a heap of inside ball but still butchers it so he needs to improve decision making and disposal to make AFL.

what a way to sit on the fence, i guess the only thing i got outta it is the fact that Cook may be there again next year.

If you want some accurate feedback about a player from the club......then wait until they're traded or dumped off the list. Then you'll hear about the player's inability to hit targets or problems with their defensive game. You might even hear for the first time that they're homesick or that their father is crook and on his last legs........but you'll only hear these things when they're gone.

Would you expect an assistant coach to give a full assessment of a player who one step away from being dumped? Is Neeld going to say that Cook is good VFL player, if they are hoping to use him in trade week?

Yep.

Average article.

Even Neeld doesn't know why Tooves is picked.

Alan Toovey
I think Alan only missed one game for the year, and when your side has made it all the way through to a preliminary final and you've only missed one game that indicates that you're doing something right.

Pretty crappy write up overall.

He talked about Cox like he was unlucky to be dropped, so I gave up reading there.

Just a love in really.

The two highlighted in the OP were probably the only two that actually gave any indication towards what direction we take next season.

It seems almost certain we'll persist with Cook - which I honestly prefer to Stanley, Bryan and Corrie. With a shallow draft, and three departures already it might be a risk that yields returns.

As for Macaffer, it pretty much backed up my opinion that he'll end up playing Tarkyn Lockyer's role as a utility, and that the end is near for Tarks, as much as I hate to admit it.

Not very interesting. The review for each player was too short to glean any actual value out of it and they were all far too positive. Going by that article you'd be wondering why we didn't win the premiership this year, yeah our players did well but there are things to be worked on and not all failures can be attributed to injury.
