That’s the correct player …. my point was mainly about outside players, and how they’re easily worked out & negated

I am fearful we will see Justin Reid resign later this month.

With strong reports from multiple sources Pies are gunning for him, after missing out on Chris Davies, there has been 'crickets' in the last month. This may well be consistent with having secured their new guy but letting him complete his final duties with our club on draft night.

Hope I am wrong but as the biggest club in the land, JR already living and working in MLB, it would be very tempting for him I imagine.

Hopefully family connections, loyalty and he is about to see the many hard years of toil bear fruit with our teams success could keep him with us. OR he is promoted to Head of Football with Crows (my email suggestion to Silvers and cc Reidy) to stop him taking the promotion at Pies.

Either way, likely to have clarity within 2-4 weeks

What I’m saying is that Reid’s CV measures up comfortably compared to Adam Kelly’s. And if I’m pissed, I’ll at least sober up, your inability to comprehend a simple comparison is a life long affliction.

Reid can stay.

Kelly should go.

If some Vic kids can climb the rankings we need to chase that pick hard next year

Eg.

2025 1st + 2027 1st =Dyson Sharp

2026 1st + a 2nd rounder = NWM

Have we over paid for ANB? Or should we have let someone like Berry go? It would be nice to have the 4th pick again tomorrow night with the likes of Dodson, Whitlock and Shanahan still on the table. Even having the option to trade in, by delisting another player. A young developing tall ruckman or forward would've been handy.

Along with keeping Smith, this is the only downside of the entire trade/draft period.

It’s been a decent effort to bring in 4 x potential best 22 players, keep our F1 and clear out some of the deadwood.

We don’t have much capital but if Dodson slips to pick forty odd. Could we use two future thirds to trade in for him - then don’t upgrade Keane and payout Burgess.
