you think ANB, Dawson and Rankine lack character for coming home?

The character comment was about what they are saying to the media. I know Dawson and Rankine said to their supporters not to worry and it will get sorted when it does but nothing to the extent of NWM and Houston has said to the media, I would be very surprise if NWM doesn't re-sign after the break given his latest interview.

I would not like him as first ruck at all

I can kinda see the vision of him as a 3rd tall forward/2nd ruck that allows RT to spend more time as the KPF figurehead, but even then the contract + injury concern wouldn’t make it worth it

Yep, Parnell over Moyle in 2021 was a big blunder.

Fortunately we've made very few errors since then (we certainly couldn't afford to given the number of misses from 2016-19).

Even the bombers dont want him as first ruck any more, was playing as second ruck until Bryan was injured

Agree which is why its interesting to look at how Smith went as opposed to both Laird and Milera

I’d argue that when you miss, you can’t afford a big miss, either

This never would’ve happened obviously, but drafting Grainger-Barras over Thilthorpe, for instance (or McAsey over Serong/Young/Flanders lol)

In regards to trading, two firsts for Petty would’ve been a huge miss

I'd certainly take TDK if there was any chance at all of him playing for Adelaide, which there isn't. Draper would I guess be a replacement for ROB if ROB leaves, but yeah I'd rather keep what we have. ROB's endurance means Thilthorpe rarely has to ruck which is great, and he's perfectly adequate most weeks.

By virtue of it being a miss, it's going to be a big one as there is always someone who will slide through the cracks and falls into the right club for them.

With trading Petty, two would have been, though I have to wonder how much changes by virtue of being at Adelaide. Getting away from the worst forward line in the league would have some benefits. Though, with our list and how it's developed, it's a dodged bullet.
