I'm pretty sure clubs have the resources to look after someone like Garlett, but why would they take him knowing he has problems that could quite easily disrupt the players around him? It's no different to Fevola when Brisbane sacked him. He would have made a positive difference on the field, but also a negative one off it.Two morals to the draft
- ( read Garlett and his ilk ) is to party,when you are in the AFL system - Not before you enter the system.
- Clubs spend $20m on their footy department but dont have the resources/aptitiude to help wayward, young talents. This is an indictment on AFL clubs.
