Neither did Gus Grissom

On January 22, 1967, Grissom made a brief stop at home before returning to the Cape. A citrus tree grew in their backyard with lemons on it as big as grapefruits. Gus yanked the largest lemon he could find off of the tree. Betty had no idea what he was up to and asked what he planned to do with the lemon. " 'I'm going to hang it on that spacecraft,' Gus said grimly and kissed her goodbye." (54) Betty knew that Gus would be unable to return home before the crew conducted the plugs out test on January 27, 1967. What she did not know was that January 22 would be "the last time he was here at the house". (55)

Armstrong did get it

I prefer people to just tell me what they mean instead of cryptically spewing stuff..

Im not the one using words such as “denial of” ( with its subtext..)..
Ive made pretty clear that IMO it’s all culture shaping bs
And I’ve backed that up with the relevant links from established sources - NASA, the guardian, Wikipedia, etc etc

Georgie’s MO is just to post a whole lot of s**t and expect everyone to join the dots themselves to come to whatever big revelation he’s hinting at.

And nobody can, because he operates on a different plane to the rest of us. He probably thinks it’s a higher plane. He’s entitled to think that. But equally the rest of us are entitled to think he’s batshit crazy.

Ok thanks, I thought I was not getting the joke...

Though the 55-story skyscraper was designed to resemble the mysterious monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey,

It was a complete checkmate..

Another thing you’re entitled to believe, even if it’s patently untrue.

How do explain the Apollo program (61 to 72) which culminated in Apollo 11? They busted their butt and lost many astronauts to get the moon. But that is somehow invalidated by some obscure references and conspiracy theories? You should be in awe of what was accomplished and not follow rabbit holes that end up in "crazytown". If only we could all come together like that again and cure cancer, covid, climate issues etc. Oh and finally, how do you explain the Lunar Ranging Experiment and retroreflectors that were installed on the moon by the Apollo 11 crew? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Laser_Ranging_experiment, https://www.space.com/apollo-retroreflector-experiment-still-going-50-years-later.html)

"They" are all in on it.

Libertarian Justin Amash took a stand against President Donald J. Trump Monday stating, “Donald Trump wants to win the support of libertarians, but his actual record on expanding the federal government and eroding liberty is appalling. After claiming he would wipe out the national debt in eight years, he signed massive spending increases and created the highest ever federal debt—even before the coronavirus pandemic began. Despite repeating over and over that he wants to end wars and bring home the troops, Trump actually increased our military presence in the Middle East and launched attacks in multiple countries without congressional approval—record strikes in places like Afghanistan and Somalia.”

Amash continued, “He also vetoed measures passed by Congress to limit U.S. involvement in Yemen’s civil war, block weapons sales that support it, and prevent war with Iran. More than half of Trump’s vetoes (five of eight) have been against measures trying to limit U.S. military aggression abroad. Trump sometimes acts like he’s opposed to the military-industrial complex, even suggesting the Pentagon wants “to do nothing but fight wars” in order to keep defense contractors happy, but no one has been a bigger booster of the defense industry than Trump.”

The lawyer and politican added, “Trump loves to tout his record on criminal justice reform, but he appointed attorneys general that have expanded civil asset forfeiture and ended Department of Justice policies that were intended to limit marijuana enforcement and reduce harsh criminal sentencing. Trump also revived the federal death penalty. He’s executed more people in the last few months than his predecessors had in more than 60 years. He detained an American citizen without charge or trial for over a year.”

He later added, “Donald Trump is no libertarian or friend to libertarians. He’s a national populist whose agenda centers around collective identity, not individual rights. We shouldn’t confuse Trump’s anti-establishment rhetoric with anti-establishment actions. He’s been the greatest gift to establishment politicians like Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy, who needed Trump’s celebrity to sell their unpopular schemes to the grassroots of the party. The least principled, least constitutionally aligned members of the GOP now face almost no scrutiny with respect to their policies and records. As long as they say they’re firmly behind Trump, they’re good to go, regardless of how much they grow government or violate our rights. Meanwhile, libertarians have been taken for a ride. It’s been an almost entirely one-way relationship. Libertarians lend their support and credibility to Trump on many issues, while Trump pays them lip service on those issues and makes mostly inconsequential gestures.”
He concluded, “If libertarians are to succeed at moving politics in a more liberty-oriented direction, then we must build our own brand as far away from Donald Trump as possible. Libertarianism’s compelling vision for securing individual rights has to get out from under the shadow of Trumpism.”

Uh, yeah...that’s exactly what happened.

Just as Kubrick knew of the existence of Netgear modems and 1920s painters knew about Silverchair, so too does some architecture point to lizard people.

You sure showed us, Georgie.

If you don't vote for Trump he doesn't want you to vote at all. Twitter blocked this tweet with Trump all but calling for violence if mail in votes are counted.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

The Supreme Court decision on voting in Pennsylvania is a VERY dangerous one. It will allow rampant and unchecked cheating and will undermine our entire systems of laws. It will also induce violence in the streets. Something must be done!

There is a decent claim that there are faceless men behind all the Presidential candidates, that control them and their policies. But at least they never really tried to make America a dictatorship. Some of Trump's antics, about how he will not accept the decision, legal challenges, only the votes counted on the night. This is the Philippines in the 80s/90s, with the president only pretending to go to election.

Why would Americans vote for a guy like that? I understand that people are sick of the swamp, and want someone that will break the rules, but there are certain rules that can't be broken.

If Biden gets up, IF he has any fans, each month they can get out and chant “four more weeks...four more weeks!!”

at least until Harris plunges a knife into him.

Joe, wear a vest, and get a taste tester.
