This season and this season only Lloyd has been playing like a small. I think he has lost a bit of his spring in his step. He has not been playing like he use to he hasn't been taking some grabs in the forward line. I know he his still recovering from his injury, but he needs to get some confidence in taking grabs in the forward line. We need him to fire and play like a tall full-forward what do you think.

He's not playing like he used to because Scott Lucas isn't playing like he used to.

The improvement in Lucas since Lloyd has been out has changed the way we use and need to use him.

One other thing, Lloyd has always played up the ground, he's always been good at ground level. But because he was kicking 80, 90, 100 goals, no one noticed it. He was our leading kick getting in 2000, you don't do that by staying in the goalsquare.

Hit the nail on the head.

I think Lloyd's been great this year. He's been a regular goalkicker as well as giving off assists and providing great leadership up the ground.

Just shows how important he is to us. Had an impact kicking 4 and setting up some.

Correct me if im wrong but looked like he was playing with bad legs on Saturday and I cant recall a strong lead from him.

Hopefully he's 100% this week.

I reckon his played like that ever since his broken arm in 2005. IMO he is a chonged player since that.

Fukn good for nothing Brad Ottens

Got a knee in the back pretty early, the great thing about Lloyd is he contributes in his bad games.

That's the difference between being a good (Lucas) and being great (Lloyd) footballer.

When Scotty has a bad one, he doesn't make an impact. Lloyd has a bad one and kicks four.

Does anyone else also think that his tackling has improved dramatically. In previous years whenever he used to try to tackle someone i always expected him to get them high and give away a free but this year his technique seems signifcantly improved and in his game last weekend his defensive pressure was really very good. Also i would say that he has been scoring goals better from ground level than i've ever seen him do. Obviously not as many from marks on the lead or contested marks though. But i can't say that i really mind the 'new lloyd' . I think that these new facets to his game will ultimately give him longer durability in afl.

Yeah that was pretty good by Lloyd.

Quiet game where he kicks twice as many goals as any other player on the ground!

Doesn't matter what he kicks really, to a certain extent, the direction he gives our side is incredible, straight up the guts, hard and fast!

Come on guys surely all this is incorrect as we had someone telling us here not long ago that Lloyd was the wrong person to be captain becasue he just hangs around up forward and dives a lot. No inspiration to the players at all and not a good role model :D

His tackling and pressure, notably against Brisbane has been very impressive also. He's hitting people and hitting them hard.

I totally agree his tackling is unbelievable, he is not as fast, but he reads the play fantasticallly and knows where to position himself around the ground to defend or put pressure on the other team and create an option.
