Here are some Tokyo 2020 custom logos that I have found and a bid logo from 2016. All would be better than the Belgium Theatre logo they are using.

I like the first logo. The way they turned a map of Japan into a person is kinda neat.

I was looking forward to seeing that stadium, but they've actually scrapped the plans for it. They haven't revealed the new one yet, so I'm curious as to whether they'll go back to one of the design runners-up, or build something more conventional, with the aim of purely getting it finished on time. It's a shame, I was hoping to visit that stadium for the Rugby World Cup in 2019.

It looks off centre because the tail of the 'L' sticks out.

Top font is Museo Sans 700 weight, bottom is a form of Caslon with a few modified glyphs (the T for one), shield is just a W in Museo Sans at 500 weight or so on a basic shield shape. What a waste. That said, the logo was in a need of updating. WSU logo looks very basic and simple though, and looks almost fake.

As an Alumus who represented the University twice at the University Games I am sad that they are losing the name the bird as well as the blue.

However I do like the new name, though it wont roll off the tongue as easily as UWS (not the colours or logo though, especially since Macquarie Uni is now also Maroon).

That would require common sense though. The worst thing is that they barely consulted with students. They just went ahead with it all

Though they apparently did consult students, staff and external stakeholders. But since the union was basically wiped out when VSU came in the students have no say at all, even though they didn't really have one before either.

Ha. I've got friends at every campus, and I know a fair few teachers (my Dad teaches there). Not one person (that I know) was consulted or even knew about it until last week. Now everyone has to clear out any of the smurf blue gear and replace it.

The consultation only had to be with a single student and staff member to be accurate in their statement.

Well should I return there as a student next year I will certainly be wearing my smurf blue UWS jacket as much as I can (but probably not the matching pants, as that is a bit of overkill!!!).

Reminds me of Vic Uni and Tasmania.

"Best of everything" is a pretty succinct and accurate motto, though.

Poor effort IMO. Big V isn't a triangle, more like Tassie tbh
