Whilst all the talk has been about whether or not Dids, Heater and Johnson will make ammends next season, or about our new draftees and how they will come along, there has been one player slipping under the BigFooty radar: Sharrod Wellingham.

Has bulked up heaps, and although I hate to use the term, it looks like he'll be "taking the competition by storm".

Is he still eligible for the rising star?

I truly beleive both he and Thomas will have breakout seasons in the midfield.

The Sheriff isn't eligible for the Rising Star unfortunately as he's played too many games, but I think he could be in for an outstanding year in which he solidifies his place in our best 22.
