Teams Los Angeles Rams - The Rammers

Put on your best attire, I'm throwing a party...

------

The Rams have promoted No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff to No. 2 on their quarterback depth chart.

"He's excited," proclaimed soon-to-be-extended coach Jeff Fisher. We are trying to contain our excitement. At long last, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft appears to have surpassed Sean Mannion on the depth chart behind Case Keenum. This means Goff will carry the clipboard, actually be in uniform as opposed to street clothes on game days, and perhaps even set foot between the white lines when Keenum inevitably plays his way onto the bench.

Great defensive performance by the Rams. Ogletree was immense.

Much better energy, particularly from Fisher on the sidelines and the play calling was so much better.

Russell Wilson looked pretty banged up and his mobility was shot but a win is a win !!

GO RAMS !!!!

Keenum 18/30 for 239
Gurley 19 for 51

No TD's yet but some excellent receptions from Britt (6 for 84) and Kendricks (4 for 61).

Apparently there was 91K at the Colosseum ! Made some great noise too.

And remiss of me to mention Greg the leg -- never looked like missing his 3 from 3.

The Rams must grant season tickets to some people who bought personal seat licenses while the NFL team was in St. Louis, PSLs that are still valid despite the team’s move to Los Angeles, according to a district court ruling issued Wednesday.

The Rams must also refund deposits for others who bought PSLs, though a district judge was unable to determine an amount for those deposits.

Three different parties have sued the Rams regarding the more than 46,000 people who bought PSLs before the team left for Los Angeles in January. Some plaintiffs paid as much as $1,000 for the licenses, which grant the right to buy season tickets.

Two of those suing parties, Envision, LLC and Richard Arnold, argued that their PSLs are still valid despite the Rams’ relocation and that they have the right to buy season tickets in Los Angeles. The Rams argued that the contracts were terminated by the move.

The third suing party, Ronald McAllister, argued the Rams in effect terminated their contracts with PSL holders when they relocated, and PSL holders therefore deserve refunds on their deposits, based on the contract language.

A spokesperson for the Rams could be reached for comment Wednesday night.

District Judge Stephen Limbaugh, Jr. based his ruling on the fact that two different kinds of PSL contracts were issued.

Some were sold by the Rams ticketing agent, FANS, Inc., and the others were sold directly by the Rams.

Both the agreements say that, in the event the Rams play at a venue other than their regular St. Louis stadium, the Rams must “use its best efforts” to provide seats for PSL holders.

The judge ruled that people who bought PSLs from FANS cannot buy season tickets because the FANS contract clearly states a Rams relocation would terminate the contract, thus rendering the “best efforts” language moot.

However, the Rams must “use its best efforts” to provide season tickets for people who bought PSLs directly from the team, because that particular contract never states the PSL agreement is terminated by relocation.

Even though both the FANS and Rams contracts say a PSL holder cannot sue for damages over PSLs, the Rams failed to present that as an argument, or even mention it, in court, according to Wednesday’s ruling.

In the McAllister lawsuit, the judge pointed out that the FANS contract says the Rams have the right to terminate the PSL contract for any reason and refund “part or all” of the PSL holder’s deposit.

However, “deposit” is not defined in the FANS contract. The judge promised to determine the amount of a deposit at a later date.

The Rams now play at the Los Angeles Coliseum. They are expected to play at a new stadium in Inglewood, Calif. starting in 2019.

A very big game today: if we can beat the Cards, we're in a very good position. Carson Palmer looks finished, both in pre-season and in the first few games of the regular season, so if Quinn and company can get pressure on him we should be able to contain the Cardinals easily, even though Michael Floyd has apparently made a full recovery from his concussion last week.

Like the confidence. I still have nightmares that the week 1 performance v the niners will resurface. Agree though that the Cards, and the Seahawks have not appeared as dominant as I thought they would have been in the first three weeks. Hopefully the Rams can be competitive and place some pressure on Palmer and Fitzgerald.

I'd like to think that that game was just a total aberration. We just didn't look prepared or focused and it's clear that the players got a, shall we say, severe reprimand afterwards. I'm quietly confident that we're on the up- despite the mediocrity of our coaching- and today could be a real "statement" game.

I wasn't able to watch it live but had the alerts going on the phone, almost ran off the road with excitement hearing that last interception. Apparently some of the play calling was a little odd, nothing unusual there! ;)

The challenges...... you wouldn't believe what they challenged. Horrible. I didn't mind the 4th and 1 field goal and the 4th and 5 pass, almost made it.

Brockers, Quinn and Hayes all listed as "questionable" for today's clash with the Bills; I can't see us winning if three quarters of our starting defensive line is missing. On the bright side, we've cut Coty Sensabaugh, who has been a liability in coverage so far.

Only problem with cutting Sensabaugh was that your GM had only just recently given him a new 3 year contract for however tens of millions of dollars, and now you have some dead money on the cap. Point being....the GM should've figured out he sucked before handing him such a new contract.

Yeah; it was $15 million over three years, reportedly. I think we only signed him out of desperation- after losing Jenkins in free agency, we saw all the good corners taken and were left with no depth at the position. Sensabaugh was truly horrendous, though, and with Troy Hill developing nicely wasn't really needed after all.

Tho the immediate reaction is to criticize Snead, it's still better to cut ties, cop the couple/few million in dead money is really nothing.

Less than a TD down -- 4min on clock and you go for a fake punt within your own 30 ??

I know it's easy to say in hindsight but such a bad call.

Interception by Keenum was costly ... and another one as I type :( - overall he played pretty well but that was a game we could have won.

Case was great until the game was on the line. A 3 and out and an interception and game over. Keenum's interceptions have been costly the last two weeks - if we lose next week - Goff may be a necessity.

Great play calling from the Lions - out coached and Stafford and Tate got the job done for them.
