Was one of the best pressure forwards in the comp once - what happened? Could get 500 touches and 35 goals every year if he played forward but instead he's just a very ordinary midfielder.

I don't really know what happened and agree that he's an ordinary midfielder at the moment. Although 2015-16 he was a fantastic midfielder, much more valuable then than he was as a crumbing forward previously. We're crying out for a live wire small forward right now but he couldn't hit the side of a barn when having a shot on goal at the moment.

Admire Dahl's effort, pressure and tacking but his offensive game is non-existent at the moment, his disposal going forward is very, very ordinary.
One of the reasons our forward line is dysfunctional at the moment.
Not too fussed if he goes.

MaCrae & McLean injured tonight, Bont doing all he can whilst the heroes of 2016 Dahlhaus & Johannisen are unable to provide anything when needed.
Dahl is playing ordinary footy at the moment and seems a lot slower than I remember. Used to be able to offer a bit of pace and goal assists around the forward 50. Unnoticably toils his way to 20 touches.

very likely, the dalhaus is your typical geelong type FA signing. Perfect destination as geelong is propping itself up with loads of seemingly decent free agents...

let's zach touhy, henderson, aaron black, to pull off a few from last 2 years. Dangerfield the brilliant one, outlier. You've extended your stay in the 8 for a while but a lot further from flag. Flag is once every 15 year no matter how good of a dynasty you build.

You said Hwathorn and geelong wont most of the last 10 years and i said its a norm to be 20 years between one flag to the next one. Hawthorn's previous era winning was in 1991 so 2008 was like 27 years. Geelong's last flag before the 2007 run was like 30 years ago. So in between each premiership era is a couple of decades at least. For some its longer.

Surely the Dogs owe it to him to give him a rest, whether he wants it or not?
I would hope so. After this latest spate of injuries we may actually not have another midfielder in the VFL though. Macrae, Bont, McLean and Webb could all be out, and we only had Jong, Dunkley and 18yo Callum Porter playing in the VFL through the middle from memory.
No denying the run of injuries, I'm more reflecting on the past few months, I'm thinking he has been carrying an injury for a while.
Yeah hard to know without being in the club obviously. May be something that needs surgery, but he can play through without damaging it further.
