Will find out once and for all which journalists are on the take and will report that the earth is flat if that’s what they are fed by their overlords.

The above would generate headlines for 1-2 days maximum, and then a new story would break and everyone would move on.

Instead he's dragged this out to a 12+ month saga.

He clearly hasn’t got much up top if he genuinely thought that was the best course of action.
