Lynch isn't the brightest crayon in the box, so if the attempted spoil/whatever was a few seconds late it's likely that his brain was just catching up to him as he hit.

Lynch wasn't overly late but the technique of using his knees to spoil will draw attention. Didn't try to punch the ball or use his hands to reduce impact. Though with the way the MRP works who the hell can say with any confidence what will happen.

Haven't we learned anything from the Ziebell case? You can basically murder a person if it's a marking contest which is why Jack got suspended...... it was a hand pass. But seriously there's no doubt his aim was to drive the knee straight in to his back and make him earn it, anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional, but nothing will happen with it, but i hope the big dumb campaigner cops a week or 2, plus he has carry over points I believe?

I've watched the incident a dozen times now who knows what will happen at the MRP. Lynch had his eyes for the ball, he wasn't late but the attempt at spoiling the ball with a fist isn't really shown. I think it sits in the same category as Ziebell's, it's just one of those accidental contacts that happen. I hope he doesn't get weeks but if he doesn't, it's another slap in the face to Ziebell's attack on the ball earlier in the season.

Its amazing how from the top of the stand camera angle. The commentators come to the conclusion that there was a forearm to the head of Kerr butt can never establish that Lynch actually touched the chris masten goal......
It'll come one day where they stop showing footage until after MRP or Tribual have made their decisions ........I mean say if a star player was playing in a prelim final and was to meet Essendon......and Tim Watson highlights a certain incident from the star player then gets outed based on Watson or any other ex player highlighting the incident and sways that star player from meeting their ex team in a grand final.

Was a split second away from laying the spoil, and was already in the air regardless. Umpire didn't even pay a 50. He took a mark later where he got the guy in the head with his knee which has even more potential to cause injury. Should he be suspended for that as well?

Sorry, can't agree. Had a perfect view of it and he was never going to get there...he went for contact, pure and simple. Different story if he gets his hands to the ball, but he was a way off that. Has to cop something for it.
