Manual is in the game. Controls are similar, they have added the LT stuff this year

Anyone want to share advice on how to get to the QB as a DE/DT?

working through the ultimate team stuff, drew brees is killing me, just when i think i've got him, 3 and 26, deep in his own territory, he pulls something out of his ass.

haven't experienced the ultimate team stuff before, I really dig the concept, as a kid in the early 90s football cards were big at school and i still have heaps, so it's kinda fun.

trying to build up points to buy more cards is a mission though.

only thing i'm not really a fan of, which I can't find a way to change (someone point me in the right direction if it's possible), is when you get to the line of scrimmage to run a play you're not as close as you used to be in Madden 10, you're already in the "zoomed back" view.

Go to game settings in the main menu and adjust the camera angle to "legacy."

Posted this in the video games Madden thread as I didn't see this one.

"Got this last thursday. Really enjoying it so far, already finished a season in Franchise mode. Haven't bought a Madden game since 09 though, so not sure how this one compares to the last couple of releases. Haven't had any glitches. Only thing I am unsure of is a couple of the free agents I signed in my first season (all 1 year deals) seem to have disappeared after their contract ran out. Currently in the off-season FA period but can't seem to find these guys anywhere"

Anyone else had the same problem with their FA signings from the previous season just disappearing?

Nobody plays Ultimate Team in Madden. Online franchise (or "Connected Careers") and head to head with real rosters costs nothing. And if people are willing to pay money for UT, lucky for EA.

Drew Brees is ridiculous, yeah. The difficulty with getting to the QB is becoming easier though as my D-line improves.

I'm not playing with an imported player list so I'm getting some funny ones. Shady Monroe - 6'8" WR, amazing. But the one I'm eyeing is Doug Bloot - rated 97 for Kick Power. Only an 82 for Kick Acc. But he has also played backup QB in college and done well according to the branching. So planning on drafting him in the 6th if he's on the board, cutting T-Jack and Hauschka and having him as kicker and backup QB. Use the roster hole on O-line probably at this stage.

Has anyone worked out the re-signing mechanic? Can't seem to re-sign anyone...

I hope the NFL don't renew the exclusive licensing next year as sadly NFL 2K5 is still the best football game and i'd like to see competition, even it may make Madden better.
As of right now Madden is a terrible game and has been for a while now.

Madden 09 was my favorite but its all gone downhill after that.

can't get over how bad the graphics are and the gameplay has no flow.

Yeah, I've never been a Madden basher... for many people it's an attempt to be hipster or alternative because you hate "the big dog".

But the last 2 versions of the game have been really, really shit. I hate this years game play, I hate it's camera angles, and I really, really hate the Superstar mode in it, which has been my favourite feature over the last 2 years.

My favourite Madden game goes right back to 06 - the level of ownership you had over your teams management was mad... It's largely returned this year in the Owner mode, but everything else about the game is letting it down terribly.

4 months on and i am going to go against through grain here and say i love M25..

love the graphics, the game play, the playbooks ...even the commentary!

jokes. that always gets old after a week though i am glad it's no longer cris collinsworth.

Have been playing ultimate team and have enjoyed building up my team from a lowly pack of spuds to a fairly formidable combination.

Finally figured out how to beat the All-25 in All-Madden.

Decimated them when I went with Seattle. (Actually thought I forgot to change it from All-Pro to All-Madden initially it was that easy)

Tried to emulate it with Detroit, but Reggie Bush choked late.

I've beaten up on the madden-25 a bit now.
Killed them with the Seahawks and Falcons.
Won close with a Kellen Moore led Lions.
And won today by 2td with the Raiders.

I envy you that you're still playing Madden 25 and getting something out of it. For me the last 2 game EA have released have been nothing more than roster updates, and I've played them for about 4-6 weeks.

I'm crossing my fingers that we get something new with the new gen consoles because, like a sucker, I continue to buy it expecting it to get better.
