You beauty I have been waiting since 1986 when they last played here to see Madness Rock the rock steady beat here in OZ!

Does anyone know how many of the original line up are coming?

Shaping as one of the gigs of the year.

All the originals.

Have been playing with the original line up for quite a few years now since reforming.

In truth the only member who really left for an extended period of time was Barso.

And not just gig of the year, quite possibly gig of a lifetime for some of us.

This is my old mans favourite band and when I first heard them about 3 years ago I thought they were fantastic. So the second tickets went on sale we were there to ensure we got ours. It is going to be great and can't wait!

It was a ripper of a show. The Prince and Return of the Las Palmas 7 were the highlights for me.

Suggs still looking and sounding a million bucks.

It was fecking awesome!

Iv'e never seen a crowd get so into a band and its vibe.

They truly still are great entertainers and it's understandable why they have lasted so long with such a loyal following, they are just good at what they do and they love their fans.

Onto the gig.

I was about 5-6 people from the front when they came out and as soon as they bellowed out HEY YOU! DON'T WATCH THAT, WATCH THIS!...

Well the crowd went mental and I was swept away in one massive skankin fest!

And agree totally, Suggs is still in great shape, but Chas and Woody still look pretty good too.

Lee has certainly put on a few pounds but was still his nutty self (go the fat old Madness member crowd surfing and losing a shoe! :D)

Chrissy Boy is bald and fat but still looks ok.

Monsiuer Barso probably looks the oldest now(but he was a few years older than some of them so stand to reason).

The only bummer was that Bedders wasn't playing last night, not sure if he's out on this tour.

Other highlights for mine were Sun & the Rain, Bed & Breakfast Man, One Step Beyond and the obscure Tarzan's Nuts getting a play in the encore.

But the one thing that really stood out for me was that they are so into their fans.

When one young guy jumped up onto the stage a security guy got him in a headlock and went to drag him off, Chas runs across the stage motions to the security to settle down and to let the kid be, then takes the young guy over to near his mic and lets him dance away.

Pure class.

Fingers crossed that because they got such a great reception and the gig was packed to the rafters (literally), they might actually not wait another 23 years before they tour here again and might come back soon.

I can die happy now :D

Yep was a brilliant night, the bouncer grabbing the kid occured not far from me and Smash told the bouncer to relax and let the kid up; it was brilliant and great night that ended up with drinking at the Exford until about 3 this morning singing all the tunes i had heard!

Worked V fest and got to meet them tonight. Fantastic blokes, really enjoyed standing on stage for their gig. The crowd was very into it, would have loved to have been in the crowd for it.

Iv'e never heard a bad story about them when they have met fans so it's no surprise to hear you say they were fantastic blokes.

Just nice to hear it from random people on different occasions.
