Make an argument that Judd is not the dirtiest player in the game.

At least with Wellingham, he went up to Simpson & offered him a concern about his well being. He knew he transgressed and showed sportsmanship.

Judd couldn't get off Ethiad quick enough. He didn't go to comfort Adams & offer his concern.

Post match Wellingham knew he was done & offered remorse. Post Friday night, Judd has ducked, weaved & deflected, showing a poor example to his club, it's supporters & younger people who used to look up to him. I wouldn't classify Judd as a dirty player, I would consider him one that has no idea of his standing in the game, or one who doesn't care about that. A dreadful leader & he sits comfortably at a club with the worst culture in the AFL.

You mean when Wellingham went on Game day and laughed about it and admitted to trying to hurt him just not that bad. We have a very different view of sportsman ship mate, then he has a go at Robbo. I would love to see them both in a ring and see if he shoots his mouth off.

I get your point you are making, but i do not think Judd is protected. We will see this week i guess, i would have given Wellingham 6 weeks he got 5, i would give Judd 6 also so we will see.
Agree on Wellers he got off lucky it was a stupid act and could have been much more serious. I really don't have anything against Juddy, in my opinion he's a bloody fine player and a leader my real gripe is with his record of escaping the consequences of his actions, which certainly isn't his fault. It's bringing the game into disrepute - not Juddy - but this continual whitewashing by both the AFL and the media. People are laughing at the MRP and the AFL, not to mention idiot commentators who continually ignore his few failings. The performance of the commentators during and after the incident was absolutely disgusting and very descriptive of the attitude I'm referring to - Judd can do no wrong - in the eyes of many of the media houses. I'm not saying that Judd is a personal coward (I never met the guy so won't judge that) but these acts have the appearance of cowardly attacks on helpless opponents - they are well documented and yet his standing in the game as a golden boy is supposedly untarnished.

What the... ? Adams himself said Judd came up and talked to him after the match. Sure I read that in the AFL.com.au article.

This is the issue I have - the story just diverges from fact at any point that the author of the post thinks would make the subject of their ire look worse. Object to it and correct a simple fact and you get "OH YOU WOULD SAY THAT WOULDN'T YOU!!!11"

Thats what North's medical report is apparantly going to say, pretty sure i read it in the Sun the next day too (don't hold me to that). Here is the AFL.com article http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/141571/default.aspx

He had to go into the rooms for 15 minutes directly after the incident clutching his shoulder.
OK no worries - so there has been no hard news on it, just "expected to contain". Still that's good enough I'll change the thread title.

Im pretty sure its been widely reported that Judd dislocated Adam's shoulder in the incident and I would be very suprised if the North medical report doesn't say that at the tribunal. For the record I don't think Judd's a dirty player, I just think he occasionaly has a brain fart and does something dirty.

How much actual damage has he caused other players? Broken bones? Knocked anyone out?
I'm pretty sure John Hopoate didn't cause that much physical damage to other players but it certainly doesn't stop him from being a dirty player.

I was surprised by how Bruce and Dennis completely overlooked it. Moments later Dennis made some quip about how booing Judd was like heckling Mother Theresa.

What disturbed me about the Judd maneuver was both how deliberate it was, and how Adams was kicking at the turf in pain. Most players who get weeks are simply acting in the heat of the moment. Judd for some reason made a decision to try and hurt Adams.
Spot on mate and he never stopped until the North players remonstrated with him about it and yes you are right about the 7 commentators reaction to it but I would think they will go into damage control about the issue now.

Remonstrated?

LOL

Young Swallow jumped in and put the knob flat on his arse. Actually Juddy got off lightly in this case, if Laurie Icke had still been captain of the Shinners Judd would have been spitting out a few teeth while reclining gracefully 5 rows back in the grandstand. :D

certainly came a cross asa low life on game day

It was Wellinghams fault that Judd waited for the whistle to be blown, attacked a player whilst being held down by his team mate... again...

I mean seriously... Judd didn't attack his eyes this time. The guys been granted the right to see by the angel.... "CHRIS JUDD".

That must count for something...

He'll get 6 votes for the game... he already got a free kick for his hyper extention (what normal people call... a season ending injury... they call "part of the Visy contract")

Bring in the lawyers... Judd and the AFL need some help!

No it was Simposon fault for getting in the way of a true Aussie hero and the bravest of brave Weelingham, Simposon is a coward going for the ball and not man when the man is not looking. Simpson is also a coward for not going on TV and bragging about trying to hurt someone who was not looking.

Chris Judd is a Visy Ambassador, doing it purely for the environment and not the money. Because like Brett Kirk, he cares!
He's never done anything dirty on the field that he has been suspended for, such as eye gouging or drawing blood from someone's face.
