Make an argument that Judd is not the dirtiest player in the game.

Are you serious? Everyone in the industry has had there say on the incident. I haven't seen anyone from the industry say he shouldn't be sanctioned. Biggest case of trial by media in some time.

Are you actually Bruce McAvaney?

Shows the same IQ at least

I was at the game and heard that channel 7 were reluctant to comment on it at the time but thats been a one-off. Since then everyone, including most of the channel 7 team that night have had their say on it. I know it's their job to comment on it but it's become blatantly obvious that they're trying to make it trial by media because it's selling papers, getting viewers etc.

Yes good point. Wellingham's first career report does excuse Judd from deliberately injuring a helpless player on the ground.

Maybe also because everyone is sick of seeing him get off for stuff no one else would get off for?

Even his last eye gouge, he only got suspended because He stuffed up talking aout Steve Segal basically admitting to doing something wrong. Had he denied, he would have got off despite obvious video evidence.

Adams seems to disagree:

"I was stuck at the bottom of the pack and obviously felt the arm get pulled and it was a pretty uncomfortable position, but I'm not sure of what he [Judd] was trying to do.
"Hopefully he gets off. I don't think there was much in it and I was able to come back on and play the rest of the game."

I'm sorry, I am not following - what do you think this says? The way you set that up I assumed that quote would be "I actually dislocated my shoulder before Judd grabbed me..."

I agree a shirt front breaking a players jaw is nothing because i can see the ball.

are you for ******* real or just a totaly of ya head.

Are YOU for real - you are trying to excuse the deliberate dislocation of somebody's shoulder! Are YOU for real?

Bumps are part of the game and are only punished if executed incorrectly. Most times even those punished aren't all that bad in motivation in that it is a split second reaction to not making a contest that sees the person stuff up the execution. I don't consider a poorly executed bump or even a decision to choose the bump which was the wrong option, as necessarily a sign of a dirty player.

Not sure I've ever seen what Judd did as any part of the skills of the game.

Surely you don't actually believe this?

yeah, he probably got away with that you could say. but the guy hasn't got a clean record has he?
He got a BROWNLOW MEDAL in the same year he got away with deliberately injuring a helpless player. Go look for some Judd worshippers, most of us refuse to believe the bullshit.

Believe what? That he did himself in?

That IS what happened. The footage was far less conclusive than the Campbell Brown eye gouge footgae and he got off that. He would have got off the Rischitelli one also, because I believe Rischitelli tried to paint it in a good light.

But Judd shot himself in the foot and made a statement too quickly.

I'm surprised you believe he would have been suspended when history (and obvious logic) suggests otherwise.

Aaaahhh, Carlton supporters. They'd spin murder if Judd committed it.

Wish I saw some of the spin with Waite's nut cracker.

could probably look it up. you'd probably find me saying he was lucky to get away with that, and that 'insufficient force' is kind of silly when it involves a players groin. players shouldn't be doing anything with another players groin.

i'm just bemused that judd has been suspended before but people are saying he 'gets away with everything'. that's just not true.

I was surprised by how Bruce and Dennis completely overlooked it. Moments later Dennis made some quip about how booing Judd was like heckling Mother Theresa.

What disturbed me about the Judd maneuver was both how deliberate it was, and how Adams was kicking at the turf in pain. Most players who get weeks are simply acting in the heat of the moment. Judd for some reason made a decision to try and hurt Adams.

It is an over reaction dumb but as I said before he has a brownlow medal that he won after deliberately injuring a helpless player - hardly the actions of the best and FAIREST.

The AFL does go into bat for him at every opportunity, people are fed up with that.

Well it is.

He got away with the first eye gouge, got away with the elbow to Pavlich's face, and WOULD have gotten away with the second eye gouge if he didn't come out and basically admit to it.

At least with Wellingham, he went up to Simpson & offered him a concern about his well being. He knew he transgressed and showed sportsmanship.

Judd couldn't get off Ethiad quick enough. He didn't go to comfort Adams & offer his concern.

Post match Wellingham knew he was done & offered remorse. Post Friday night, Judd has ducked, weaved & deflected, showing a poor example to his club, it's supporters & younger people who used to look up to him. I wouldn't classify Judd as a dirty player, I would consider him one that has no idea of his standing in the game, or one who doesn't care about that. A dreadful leader & he sits comfortably at a club with the worst culture in the AFL.

lol. guy gets suspended, gets away with everything. it doesn't have to be hyperbole. he gets away with a few things perhaps... but not everything. why even try to take it to that ridiculous extent?
