Would big bad Mal be any value to the club? Was is influence in the the mid 90's good or bad?? Would like to hear opinions!

Took a shot at Cameron Shwabb on Sundays Footy Show and had him resigning which many felt was a good shot in the arm for the club.

Tried to the do the same thing years later to the point people were wondering whether he really did it to jolt the club to success or to just keep his head in the media.

Apparently he was a headache for Northey durring his time there.

Claim to fame in AFL is really the Windy Hill brawl.

Malthouse is always asking why someone who played about ten games of VFL has such exposure still today.

At the end of the day we have plenty of people voicing thier dissent. We need people with the solution. Wouldnt want him there now

wasnt Jim Jess coming back to the club in some role or another ?

Hated Northeys guts with an absolute passion , he basically started the rumours that although we had our best year in 95 for many a year , he and others within the club believed that we needed another coach to take us all the way Northey wouldn`t be able to do it so, disgruntled, swooper walked ( with a big carrot from Brisbane ) It ended up being a straight swap , Walls for Northey . And we all know how that turned out . It was about then people got fed up with Brown

Big on headlines , small on substance

Yes 1995 brings back some great memories, a side that played with passion and guts, hope we can see that in 2005!

Big mouthed fool with too much exposure for a nothing. Not sure what makes him such an expert on football matters when he really has achieved little. Move on fatso!

From the mouth of Swooper himself at a Sportsman's Night some 5 or 6 years ago ... Mal Brown was a conduit for information, which he allegedly garnered from one of our then top administrators, Brian Waldron, and passed onto the likes of Kevin Sheedy at Essendon ... the football equivalent of "insider trading" you might say.

Or straight out betrayal of trust, some others might say.

Mal Brown is filth

Thankfully someone on this board has a good memory. Most ppl believe Swooper walked for the Brisbane money.

He walked because Mal Brown was coveting Kevin Sheedy for the very reason you've posted here.

Mal Brown's actions set the club 9 years ( and still counting).
