Sorry, have to disagree. There's right and there's wrong. If he can't work out what is correct to say at 64 years of age in a public forum, then Mal the Mouth should fade back into insignificance. He has hurt the club behind the scenes more than helped it. How could anyone at a publicity launch with media there ever think it wouldn't make the papers? Head in the sand stuff. I agree they are stupid comments, and the age of people using slang language at a footy night are over because the media are now on the look out for a front page story.

But, Mal Brown has lived all of his life working with indigenious boys so to say he is a racist because he used the term cannibal is off the planet.

This is not the first time he has said something outrageous.

Probably 10 years or so ago he made headlines when he said in his playing days he used to tease aboriginal opponents by saying '****** ****** pull the trigger'. I am surprised that no-one in the media remembers this.

The guy is a buffoon who lives in the past.

The main issue here is that he made his comment at a public forum that the media had access to. You can't compare his remarks to one made at a pub.
