6-1 shouldn't and won't happen again. We will salvage a draw, City will go up 1-0 early in the 2nd half but we will fight back with our "never die" attitude and score a stoppage time equaliser.

Well, there we go. Coughed up an 8-point lead and played horribly in the biggest match of the season. Park should never have played and Smalling looked under done.

Playing Nani over Valencia was a mistake - the latter was always going to be much more direct than the former.

All in all you can't say much other than wonder why we couldn't chisel out a clear chance on goal. We've been spoiled by success as United fans but this is still a pretty hard pill to swallow. Barring a miracle at St James of course.

The last month has cost us. Letting leads slip and 0 shots on target tonight in such a big game. Didn't deserve to win.

Creative midfielder is much needed. Just couldn't break them down and our attacks were one dimensional. Pass out wide and run down the wing.

Absolutely shattered. We need a miracle now. But we only have ourselves to blame.

Can't believe Valencia didn't start. I don't have a problem with the formation as we use it for most tough away games but we would've been much better off with Tony and Nani from the start for the style we played.

C'mon Toon

Oh and get Modric.

Only game we really bottled was Everton at OT.

Wigan has been playing out of their skin of late and they battered us and losing to City at Etihad is hardly surprising given their record there.

But conceding 2 goals in the the last 10-15 mins at OT may well be our undoing.

Need a small act from GOD now......so if your listening or reading this forum as you should be, please have Newcastle beat Man City :)

I am still fuming about this morning we need to buy world class players.

Any fault attached to De Gea for the goal?

I've noticed a few like that where he has his arms down by his side and cant get them up in time as the ball goes in near his head.

Couple of times i think the ball has bounced off his head, shouldnt he start with arms up (Schmeichel style).

Probably could have done better (but hindsight is 20/20 vision). Kompany's header was point blank wasn't it? Always hard against those.

Smalling should have done better in marking him, IMO.

Do you think Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs could be playing there last 2 games at the club.

Thoughts on Park Ji Sung i would cut him at the end of the season ??

Ji's been a great servant, but I'm increasingly questioning his value of late. I'd sell him, personally.

It's been said time and time again, but the midfield needs to be ****ing fixed.

I am with you mojito he has had a poor season.

As with the midfield i hope we get Modric or Bale and stuff the price.

Time to cut quite a few IMO.

Rio Ferdinand - Has been solid this season but over the last few seasons injury has taken its toll. He is slow, at times lazy and seems content poiting the finger at others when the mistake was his. Said it 3 years ago that we should get some cash for him but that horse may have bolted.

Owen - Obvious reasons

Anderson - Injured all the time and not fit enough to run out 90 minutes let alone 30 odd games.

Berbatov - Its time for him, he knows it, the club knows it and we all know it

Giggs - Your my favourite all time United player. Thanks for the memories. You deserve to finish on a high and that should have been last season.

Park - Love your work rate but your just not up to it week in week out.

Carrick - Probably had his best season for years this year but he should not be our starting CM. Has lost some of his creativity and play deeper now. We can do better.

Nani - Shows glimpses but regularly goes missing in big games.

Twins - Injury prone, still fly in at tackles, we need more pressure to be placed on our starting FB's.

Evra - Has been average for a couple of seasons. Gets into poor positions more often and is not anywhere the threat going forward as he once was. Unfortunately he is our only decent LB and maybe gets a gig because of this reason.

Scholes - Thanks for coming back and showing you still have a touch of class. You have been magnificent upon your return.

Fletcher - Loyal, hard working but no match winner. Has maybe put together a seasons worth of good games in his career. Much maligned for a reason.

Macheda - Not United standard.

Kuszcak - Just go already please.

Bebe - As above. What was Fergie thinking.

Evans - Might have saved himself this season in the absence of Vidic and needed to.

Just my 2 cents worth and this is definitely not an over reaction from this mornings match. Pretty sure I have put these names forward before.

United need some World Class players to continue to compete not only on the local front but in Europe. The list above are not World Class.

I agree with that list but it is concerning to see so many mids on the list.

There are strong reports that United are negotiating with Dortmund to work out a deal for the attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa.

Saw that. Apparently he made some comment to Jap TV saying May 12 would be his last game before coming to OT.

Excited about this. Would be a big improvement on Ando.

I'd be a big improvement on Anderson.

I heard last night that he'd denied saying anything about going to United. But I also heard last week that he was nailed on to be leaving Dortmund, and United was very much the most likely destination. Last year of his contract I believe, so shouldnt be too expensive.
