Murphy anyday!
Lets see Thomas play as well as Murphy with the #1 tagger week in week out.

Exactly right.
Everyone will see how good Murphy is next year when Nick is back, and some bloke called Judd is running around in Navy Blue.

brown and gold need to free their salary cap..and give a better offer than us..doubt that'll happen...;)

Anyway, MURPHY>thomas:p

Judd, hands down.

Honestly, Marc Murphy easily. I'd probably take 1 Marc Murphy over 2 Dale Thomas'.

At the moment, Dale Thomas is ahead. From a neutral supporter (no bias like most of you), Thomas has played finals AND has played well in them. Murphy hasn't had the chance to show us his ability in the big time yet. When he does (if?) we will be able to answer the question with more authority.

So just because he's played in finals means he's a better player than Murphy? Get real honestly. I have read several of your other posts and the majority of the time you talk absolute crap.

Marc Murphy would be taken ahead of Thomas by most, of not ALL clubs if there was a choice.

You obviously don't read them very carefully! You are so one eyed that you cannot answer this question objectively or listen to anyones opinion that differs with yours. Only those of reduced intellect behave in this fashion, so I won't retaliate to your inflammatory comments.
I said, we will know more about Murphy when he does play in the big time. What happens if Thomas single handedly wins the Pies the 2007 GF? He then wins the Norm Smith Medal. All this is still possible (although improbable). Do you then still rate Murphy higher than Thomas? Murphy may go kickless in his first final. That is still possible too. Would you still rate him higher?
You can only judge players under extreme situations. Thomas has been in them. Murphy has not. Fact. You cannot argue sensibly against that!

You can't even do a comparison between Murphy & Thomas, because one is a midfielder & the other is a flanker who picks up most of his possessions while loitering on the flanks or wings, waiting for the cheap possession. What makes his efforts even less valuable, is that even though he has predominantly played as a HFF this season, he has still only managed 19 goals for the season. Compare this to a couple of HFF's in Eddie Betts & Matty Lappin, who both had average seasons, yet kicked 22 & 21 goals respectively.

Thomas is, at best, a burst player, who goes missing for lengthy periods in most games & therefore has a lot of catching up to do, to get to the level of Murphy & Pendlebury, who are currently head & shoulders above 'Daisy' Thomas.

How many finals have Richmond played in?
2/21?

Doesn't mean players who have played finals are better than some Richmond players who haven't...

Idiot!
