Didnt anyone notice in the SANFL grandfinal the mesmerising ruck set up that Centrals had in the forward line. Little Marco Bello would ruck and then a tall would jump over the top. It worked an absolute treat!! well done by Centrals i wish we could do that kinda thing at SAFC.

It was an interesting set up wasn't it.
I'd have to watch the GF again to confirm what exactly was going on, but I thought no one went up against Lindsay in our forward lines - it seemed like a rover went up once - but it looked like a mistake.
To me it appeared that Lindsay was left alone, waiting for him to tap it or grab it, with our ruckman filling in the hole a kick behind play.

Why would you contest against Lindsay, it might have stopped him from tapping it to your blokes all the time. :(

this was it.........they had a small lurking just in case the big lummux grabed the ball in the ruck contest.........instant free kick in our fwd line !
It was just a ploy to create a loose man in our fwd line - also it served to tighten up on the Eagle onballers in defense so they couldnt get any easy clearances...if we were roving to Lindsay's tap....then the contest was more congested and hard which suited us fine particularly given the Eagles onballers were frightened from the opening bounce.
