Mark Williams no doubt should be high on the priority list at senior coach but no way should we go after Craig. Thompson I think will probably stay on at Essendon after this whole court battle.

Do you or anyone else on here think that there is actually a chance Buckley will get sacked if we lose our next two games. Three years of misery and failure has taken it's toll on a lot of fans.

Sadly no, he will be our coach for 12 more months at least.

Regardless I have no doubt under Mark Thompson, Mark Williams, or Neil Craig we'd be a far better side.

Neither could win a game at their respective clubs and were sacked accordingly.

Thompson is the only one out of the 3 I would want but like you say, is unlikely to leave the Bombers.

Buckley will probably be given most of next season to turn it around I'd imagine.

If was it for me after that game as well. Tonight may have been bad but under the circumstances the GC is still the worst loss I have ever seen. Tonight is close second but at least we didn't lose to a side with no bench and the best player in the comp playing.
 
Overlooking the fact that I don't think we should be calling for another coach, but hypothetically why on earth would anyone even suggest Mark Thompson?

As far as I'm concerned he's tainted by the essendon saga and I'd hate for him to be at our club

Mark Thompson is a premiership coach and knows what it takes to coach his team to win.
He is hugely experienced, something this club needs in its next head coach.

Combination of things but it's been escalating over the years. Head coach takes biggest responsibility,
Players on the field have fallen in to lazy ways, once it happens it's nearly impossible to stop. Can't see a turn around. Time for change.

Can't see this exact same list bouncing back. Needs drastic changes if Buckley wants to coach the style he does. Just getting worse each season. Only bright spot is 5-6 18 year olds.

How does no sound? Can't object to Essendon cheating on one hand then turn around and embrace one of those involved and who remains unrepentant.
 
There is a guy who coached West Coast last year who's doing nothing at the moment.
I think he is a two time premiership captain and one time premiership coach.
Not a bad CV.
